Hi Fashionista Readers,
I need some advice regarding the fashion industry job market in NYC. I currently live in San Diego and work at one of the only retailers headquartered here. However, it has been my life long ambition to move to NYC and pursue a career in fashion.
I am ready to take the plunge! Clearly given the economic climate, fashion jobs have been scarce and most companies seem to not want to give the time of day to cross-country applicants. I've had a couple interviews but none for my "dream" job.
Do you think I should I take a job that I'm not wowed by for the sake of a paycheck (obviously a necessity to live in NYC)? Or, should I take a gamble and move out there jobless to see what I kind of fashion job I can come across while physically being in the city? Anyone have any advice - especially New Yorkers??
Thanks!!

Hi!
In November, I'm going to be heading to New York City for a little trip and I need some tips on where to go shopping. I usually come to the city once a year, but I feel like I always end up at the same places--Uniqlo, Betsey Johnson, Marc By Marc Jacobs.
I would love some new ideas because I know there are tons of cool boutiques and designers that I'm missing out on.

Hi!
So I am a total lover of all things vintage and now I find myself at a little bit of a loss since recently moving to New York City. I figured where better to turn than the Fashionista readers.
I'm hoping you can point me in the direction of some really great vintage stores. Ideally, I would love to be able to find some go-to spots with cute, quality finds for under $100. Thoughts? Ideas? Favorites?
Merci!
