A Collaboration We’re Super Excited About: Comptoir des Cotonniers x Calla

We’ve been enamored with Paris-based up-and-comer Calla Haynes’s girly, playful-yet-understated designs for a few seasons now. Sadly, they’re not widely available and her dedication to using high-end, artisanal fabrics means gorgeous clothes but high price tags.

Enter Comptoir des Cotonniers, international purveyors of good-quality Parisian-cool basics at contemporary price points. The French brand has just tapped Calla for its first ever capsule collection and it sounds like a perfect fit.

Listen to This: Cara Delevingne Can Actually Sing

There’s no doubt as to who the model of the season is.

Cara Delevingne, in all her goofy-faced glory, has walked damn near every major runway in New York and London, landed her first Vogue UK cover, and commands a massive audience on social media (over 470,000 followers on Twitter, 747,000 on Instagram). And while we know she can walk, today we learned something new about the Brit beauty: She can also sing!

Macy’s To Launch Ongoing Collaboration With Made Inspired by ‘Street Fashion’

Designers collaborating with high street stores is obviously not a new concept. But a just-announced project should challenge everyone’s current notion of designer collabs. Rather than working with one designer or label, Macy’s is teaming up with Made Fashion Week to create a line inspired by fashion industry influencers. Terry Richardson is involved, of course.

DKNY Teams Up With Opening Ceremony To Reissue Classic ’90s Pieces

If the return of X-Girl or Bon Qui Qui (for Alexander Wang) is any kind of indication, it seems the fashion industry is not done indulging in ’90s nostalgia. And with today’s news that DKNY is teaming up with the cool kids at Opening Ceremony to reissue 15 styles from from the label’s early ’90s archives, we may have reached ’90s-nostalgia-saturation.

Not that we’re complaining.

Uniqlo to Team Up With Iconic ’60s Designer Celia Birtwell

Things are looking groovy–real groovy–at Uniqlo this spring.

The high-street retailer is collaborating with seminal ’60s designer Celia Birtwell on a capsule clothing collection to hit stores in the UK March 21, WWD is reporting.

For those of you who don’t know, Birtwell is one of London’s most iconic textile designers, forever associated with the city’s heady days in the ’60s and ’70s when she, along with her then-husband Ossie Clark, dressed the likes of the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Marianne Faithful, Jimi Hendrix and more.
