#32, fashion is for everyone young and old.
I was making Fabergé eggs for Easter in 4th grade, Le Corbusier inspired ice cream stick houses and critiquing Salvatore Ferragamo's first RTW collection for a book report by the time I was in junior high.
There are millions of kids like Tavi in this world and I wished I had an opportunity like her's when I was her age. I would rather have her be a future editor/designer/whatever than someone who's still making cookies on her Easy-Bake.
just check out her article in French Vogue

Please quit writing about things I'm interested in unless it's about how to get into Harmony Korine's tribute party for Chevigny. Seriously, like, for real.

K, you are correct. I figured that you guys wouldn't want to see a picture of any of these dudes, so I decided to use my favorite wallet instead.

Would any of you crtisizing her pass up the offer to sit front row at a couture show (or any show, for that matter) just because you haven't worked your way up the industry and "earned" it? Probably not.

that kid is weird, i can't bear to read one line on that blog, she's just a precocious kid whose stars were aligned this year. if she actually looked good this would be more palatable. she plays with us and we are the fools.

#1, I wondered the same thing, it's actually why I clicked through on the post. I have decided that it is just supposed to be a picture of a wallet in general, since they are talking about the money men.

Speaking as a PR professional, this was a genius move. Digital media is revolutionizing publicity in every industry and is only going to evolve to become more prevalent in the future. Gucci develops an iPhone app to promote special products, every fashion reporter has a Twitter, and bloggers are able to generate enough buzz about shows and seasons that they've become a viable alternative to traditional magazines.
Regardless of your opinion on Tavi (who I think brings a unique perspective to the blogsphere- can you imagine if you had documented your fashion at her age? She knows more about designers than I ever did at 13) inviting bloggers to RTW and couture shows helps fashion houses indoctrine their brand into a demographic otherwise untouched. I think that this outcry, in the form of derisive comments by established fashion writers, would have been heard whether Tavi was around or not.
The times they are a-changin'
