Hi All,
I've been daydreaming about reinventing my personal style.
I'm a stay-at-home mom of three young children and fashion has not been a focus in my life for years. It is now though! Keeping in mind that I'm starting from scratch, I want to start this process by buying some key pieces.
First, I would like to begin with a premium designer handbag. I have hopes for something classic and timeless to start with and build from there. I would love to hear any thoughts or ideas you might have concerning a handbag brand for me.
I'm a forty-something, living in Arizona and could really use the inside scoop.
Thanks!

Hello Fashionista Readers,
I have recently created the Ideal Woman: Necklace which reflects my belief that society is obsessed with the image of "the perfect woman." The necklace demonstrates our culture's desire to emulate a look that seems naturally impossible to attain.
My artistic objective is to critique cultural trends that I find impractical or destructive to the female form. I strive to express the absurdities, conflicts and hypocrisies society presents about "ideal" women.
This symbolic necklace is more than just a pendant; when worn it is a catalyst for instigating new ideas, conversation and change. I have created a virtual space, idealwoman.wordpress.com, where individuals can share their comments, reactions, and experiences.
Check it out and let me know your thoughts.

Hi Everybody,
I'm in London and would love to get some insider tips on where to buy inexpensive vintage or secondhand clothes. Or better even, where the sample sales are held.
Someone suggested Portobello Road to me but 400 pounds for a fur coat and 60 pounds for a bag are way over my student budget.
Any ideas for something more reasonable and equally chic?
Thanks in advance!

I've always enjoyed fashion but never pursued it as a career in college, because hailing from Florida, it didn't seem like a
possibility, it seemed reserved for those in New York.
During college, I took on a part time job as a sales associate (as simple as it was) and
absolutely loved it and my passion was once again ignited. I continued my liberal arts degree because it seemed more realistic, but I always knew in the back of my mind it wasn't going to be my career path.
As the job market hasn't been one to rave about, I could not find a job that dealt with my Bachelor's, but instead took on what my experience was about it, clothing. I currently work in visual merchandising, but want to expand my experience.
My question to you is, does that experience qualify enough to get an internship in NYC? Or anything online? I'm beginning to turn my life down a new path and make my secretive dream maybe a possibility. Are all internships saved for those in school?
Thanks!

Hello New Yorkers!
So here's the deal: I recently purchased a pair of used Chanel flats in one part because I heard they are hard to break in.
That said, the used pair are incredibly comfortable, but they need new soles.
Any recommendations where I could get these done? Either online or in New York City would be great.
Thanks much.

Hi Fashionistas,
'Tis the season for an invasion of shoppers in New York, right? I'm sure it might not be the ideal thing for everyone who lives there, but, hey it feeds the economy right?
So, I'm going to have a couple of days to shop in the city and I'd rather not wander around like a typical tourist.
I know you guys will be able to tell me the best places to go. And especially anywhere that might be having amazing holiday sales.
Help!
And thanks.

Hello, gorgeous Fashionista readers!
Over Christmas, I'm traveling to Paris with my family. I've never been before--none of us have--so I wanted to know if anyone had any tips or suggestions for shopping while we're there.
I am pretty much going in blind and am working with a limited budget.
I know that's not much information, but I'm looking for any advice or tips about the shopping or just the city in general. I definitely want to make the most of my time!
Thanks so much.

Hi All,
I am so excited about an event coming up on November 21st and wanted to share it with you. It's SCORE! Pop-Up Swap at 3rd Ward (Brooklyn) - a massive public swap. It's like a department store where everything is free!
Bring your unloved clothes, books, housewares, music, art supplies, and miscellany - and then take the new treasures they find. Style experts from Nylon, librarians from the Desk Set, and party people from Showpaper will be on hand to help you find the good stuff and any additional funds raised go to food rescue organization City Harvest.
Details after the jump and at www.scoredatscore.com
