High Fashion Replicas, by reader Jamar Graham

One day I was going through my Vogue Fall collections magazine and noticed ton of similarities. As you know fashion is a recycled business in which designers, stylist, artist and editors take inspiration from other fashion profesionals i have found a few look-a-likes that i felt were so funny. Its kind like the adventures in copyright that FASHIONISTA.COM does so well..... but here's my own version of the topic... I call is Givenciaga ENJOY!!!!!!

Riccardo Tisci and Nicolas Ghesqhiere really had the same train of thought for the fall season with the wrapped neck, opaqe tights, and open toed boots. To use model Sasha Pivovarova in basically the same expression, fashion assistants have definitely been meeting up at the bar and talking.

Wow, these two looks were featured side by side on two facing pages in what I believe was a Vogue fashion spread exploring the fall collections. I have them up on my wall because I adore this Balenciaga look (and basically that whole collection) and figured I might as well display the two pages together.

The point is that I didn't even notice that the olive and black look is actually by Givenchy - I just assumed it was Balenciaga!
Again, it was part of a Vogue photoshoot and therefore not the runway photos (I would have picked up on it then; I'm not that thick).

It just goes to show how very right you are.
I feel rather enlightened by this revelation, so thanks!

It's funny because Tisci and Ghesqhiere are my top two favorite designers.
