In a particularly misguided game of "would you rather," had with frenemies and champagne, this one popped out.
It's mean and messed up, but also, we think, quite interesting:

rich, no question. then you can hire a trainer to get thin in your 5000 sq foot apartment. pretty. then you have more chance at a relationship.

gut reaction: i'd answer "thin" without batting an eyelash. thought through (kind of): thin. i've been thin my entire life without much effort at all and i think i'd be really unhappy if i wasn't. also, i look at my mom whose wealth has increased with age along with her size and the money doesn't seem to have made her any happier. she'd be ecstatic if she could have her figure from her 20s back...which is basically what i look like now. surprised: not really.
pretty or in a relationship? hmm. i'm going to assume that it's a good relationship and choose that. i can deal with being less than pretty as long as i'm still thin ;-)
sidenote: i LOLed at the "really bad ideas" tag.

My initial reaction was rich, because then I could use my money to become thin. But, once I started to think about it, how not thin are we talking? Because going from normal to thin seems easy, but going from obese to thin seems extra hard. In which case, I'd rather be thin.

Second - I'd rather be pretty. I'm not in a relationship right now and I like it better this way. Mostly though, because I am told I am moderately attractive so I fare well.

I would choose rich.
And I would choose pretty.
if you're pretty it doesn't matter if you're in a relationship.
I don't think pretty girls should ever date. it ruins their mystique. They should belong to the public as Monroe would say.

rich. i'm thin by genes so maybe i don't understand what the big deal is about maintaining your weight. but i do know that money buys lipo.
pretty. being in a relationship doesn't guarantee it's a happy or monogamous one. but being naturally pretty is a gift from heaven!
