Fast-Fashion Weigh-In

Dec 18, 2007 @ 4:18pm

Britt's party dress.JPGYou guys went crazy for Britt's Fast-Fashion declaration, so we thought we'd let you know how she's doing.

No, she's not regretting it and back to trolling the racks at Forever 21. In fact, when she had to pull a cute dress for her work party out of the clear blue sky, she made like a Project Runway contestant and took herself to Mood, the New York City fabric mega store.

The results are at left - and no, she didn't go to Parsons. We have no idea how she made this adorable (and plaid!) number, but she pulled it off, and we hear it was a hit.

Best part? Not only did it cost her less than $20, she didn't look like anyone else there - and she never will.

Here's how she made it.

Hold a piece of fabric around your body. Hold the ends in your hands, and bring them together in front of your boobs. Pin the two edges together down the front of your body. Squirm out. Sew where the pins are. Cut to taste. Voila.
