PETA creates an anti-olsen website

Leave it to PETA to create a shrine of hate dedicated to the Olsen twins on the Internet.

This is why I can’t get behind activist groups. Things like this just perpetuate the idea that everyone who cares about animal rights is a crazy brainwashing activist. This website is possibly one of the most immature things I have ever seen. I haven't felt the need to call someone "Hairy-Kate" since second grade. They deliver a series of low blows, making light of Mary-Kate's time in rehab and criticizing the twins for being so tiny. It’s not okay for PETA to be kind to animals but cruel to people.

What I don’t understand is why they chose to go after Mary-Kate and Ashley when fur is frequently employed by many designers and worn by many stars. Why not, say, Rachel Zoe, who perpetuates fur as a trend by styling her clients in it and wearing it herself?

I'm actually more disturbed by this webpage than that they were fur now....good job PETA.

I haven't seen this level of immaturity in a very long time. I'm against the wearing of fur, but there are so much better ways to protest against it. And I agree with the comment above, that website is freaking me out

Though sensationalism no doubt generates column inches, the majority of legit activists loathe PETA. They aren't representative of the main body of peaceful activists in the same way the content of the National Enquirer or the Sun is not representative of the mainstream press. I wouldn't take them too seriously.

Are they trying to bully MK&A into not wearing fur? Yes, it gives PETA media attention but I don't think negative attention is going to help an activists cause nor change whats happening to those animals. The money they've spent on this campaign would have been better spent actually helping animals.
