Freshman year of college, we had a friend who wouldn't leave her dorm at night without applying her fake eyelashes.
We would stare in awe as she applied them one by one and always from the outside in. Once we learned, we were hooked, and still are to this day- though now they're saved for occasions more special than a Harvard frat party.
Fake eyelashes are standard in both Hollywood and the fashion industry. And if our faces were constantly photographed, we'd probably wear them everyday, too. Lashes may seem like a small detail, but if you've ever seen the before and after, you totally get it.
That said, we've had friends tell us they're trashy - period (especially the all-in-one strips which are a guaranteed disaster.)
Not to mention, the act of application can be both gross and dangerous. But despite so many risks, they're undeniably hot when done right.
Would you wear fake eyelashes?
