Backpack Woes

Oct 09, 2008 @ 10:52am

ladybug backpack.jpgHello fellow fashionistas,

I'm a university student, which means I lug my books and laptop around campus every day, nine hours a day.

I have to use a backpack, a purse would break/kill me one shoulder at a time, but I cannot find one that is both functional and stylish.

So if anyone knows of a cute, or at least not ugly, double strapped bag, I would really appreciate the help!

Oh, and nothing from Swiss Army, please!

I have a brown leather Roots back pack that's very classic and beautiful quality for a decent price (under $200 Canadian). It was a good investment and it's nice for school because it holds my laptop and all of my books (I'm a philosophy student in Belgium) so that all I need to carry as a purse is a nice clutch. However, I can't find it on the website anymore--if you're interested, I'd suggest checking eBay or a Roots store.

Raf Simmons for Eastpack! It has interesting material and tons of straps to keep it looking cool, not dated.

Timbuktu bags can rock the Seattle tech look without killing your shoulders because they are messengers with ergonomics in mind. They also hold many, many books ;)
