I know the movie came out years ago, but does anyone remember the dress Nicole Kidman wore in the opening scene of Eyes Wide Shut?
It's gorgeous - long, black with a scoop neck and long sleeves made out of perfect black lace. I think the upper half of the dress is velvet with lace detail though I'm not positive on that part.
Anyway, I'm obsessed and want to wear it to every holiday party this year. Does anyone know either who designed it so that I can start an Ebay search or if anyone's making anything similar this year?

The costume designer was Marit Allen. A former model, UK Vogue staffer and nominated costume desginer, she passed away in 2007. (see Wikipedia article).
I can't find any record of her selling her clothes (though in 2001 she sold some her wardrobe form her Vogue days).
Though there is a fun question on IMDB, that notes that in 2007 someone's boss wanted the same dress to wear to Celine Dion's Costume party..
