Fashion Investing

Aug 31, 2009 @ 6:16pm

barneysexteriorshot.jpgHi!

So I have recently come into an inheritance. I plan to use most of the money to responsibly pay off school loans. But I would also like to buy myself an investment piece of some sort. The problem? I have no idea what to buy!

That's where you come in. I'm not really into bags but I do love coats and boots (I live in New York City).

What do you guys think? I want something that I could keep wearing for a really long time and that won't go out of style.

Can't wait to hear your ideas.

something classic logo free is always a good choice or a great Hermes bag!... Or if your upto the investment take on a short term investment sponsorship of an indie designer brand thats an investment that not only helps the fashion industry but it provides jobs!...
to many here in New York as our industry continues to decline.

Best regards

Hi there,
I think JEWELRY is the best investment. When you think about it, shoes will wear out, rip, or get marks on them. Even handbags are subject to marks, wear and tear. But diamond stud earrings? Those can become a family heirloom. A long Chanel necklace? It will always be in style, and it will always fit you. Good luck!
