Hello all!
I have searched high and low for the perfect messenger/cross-body bag. Ideally, I would like something chic, but useful and not too costly. A lot to ask, I know.
I really want to use this elusive dream bag as my bookbag for school. Funnily enough, back in the day, all bookbags were like the one I've been hunting for, but no one seems to have carried on the tradition.
Which brings me back to my original dilemma. There's a really cute DIY Zac Posen article on TeenVogue.com for a messenger bag that is really close to what I'm looking for (leather, can carry books, quirky, cute) but I don't have a leather briefcase lying around to use.
So my question is this: does anyone know of any stores that sell reasonably well-priced, fashionable messenger bags?

llbean.com - i was in the market for a leather backpack (yeah, for classes) and was surprised by the utilitarian-chic selection they had. of course, all those leather bags (or leather-canvas) will get much better with a few months of wear
