While waiting to interview designer Scott Sternberg after his boy. by Band of Outsiders show yesterday I saw Aziz Ansari hanging around. So I had to treat myself and grab a few words with one of my fave comedians.

Fashionista: So what brings you here?
Aziz Ansari: I’m covering the show for Vogue for Kids. But there’s no kid’s stuff, so I don’t know why I came. All of the stuff, none of it is available in kid sizes.

Michelle Obama’s Re-Election Campaign Wardrobe: Meet Her New Favorite Designers

Michelle Obama established herself as a fashion-forward First Lady back in 2008, wearing Michael Kors and Jason Wu with such frequency that nobody could deny they were among her favorites. But now that her hubby is up for reelection, Michelle has introduced us to a whole new batch of faves, many of whom are CFDA honorees and edgy, young wunderkinds.

This year alone, we’ve seen Michelle step out in up-and-coming labels like Preen, Band of Outsiders, Wes Gordon and Lyn Devon–and she’s also been giving love to more established brands like Balenciaga, Peter Som and Sonia Rykiel that were previously absent (or at least very rare) from her wardrobe in past years. But don’t worry – even though MObama’s cool factor has increased like, fivefold this year alone, she’s still maintained loyalties with more classic, well-established labels like Michael Kors, Talbots and J. Crew, who we believe to be responsible for the green and yellow colorblocked number she wore in late June.
