Christian Siriano Fall 2013: A Night At the Opera
Christian Siriano’s girl got a whole lot more grown up over the course of one season. Gone were the pastel twinsets, polka dots, and ballerina buns of last spring, replaced by sophisticated pencil skirts, intricate gold hardware detailing and rich (though faux) furs for a collection the designer says was inspired by “the golden age of the Russian Opera.”

Nemo Be Damned! Fashion Week Goes Ahead As Planned
Not even Nemo can stop the fashion crowd.
Billy Reid, Tommy Hilfiger, Rebeccca Minkoff, Yigal Azrouel, Monika Chiang, Tocca, Lacoste, Jill Stuart, Sun Jung Wan, Ruffian, Christian Siriano and Nautica, will be showing their collections as planned this afternoon, evening and tomorrow morning, respectively, when the storm is supposed to be at its worst, WWD is reporting.

Christian Siriano Fall 2012: The Pendulum Shift
Christian Siriano is one of those designers who’s usually all about more is more is fierce. But following last season’s showing of dramatic ball skirts and chartreuse, the designer has honed in on tighter silhouettes and muted colors for fall.
While the glitz was turned down a notch at yesterday’s show, he did manage to sneak the sparkly stuff onto each of his show shoes.
Actresses Gabourey Sidibe and Mena Suvari watched from the front row, as J-pop-y songs blared and a surprisingly wide range of wearable pieces trotted down the runway.
