Well, that didn’t take long. A day after news that Tamara Mellon was leaving Jimmy Choo broke, there’s speculation that Mellon will launch her own lifestyle brand. And funding may already be in place for such a venture, WWD is reporting.

While Mellon’s ambitions aren’t portrayed in a very flattering light–WWD‘s source told the paper that “money and a high profile are important to her”–it’s understandable that she would want to branch out on her own.

Big changes are afoot at Jimmy Choo. The company is celebrating a milestone 15th anniversary this year–but in a surprising turn of events, Choo co-founder and chief creative officer Tamara Mellon–who was also the face of the brand–is leaving the company.

Mellon isn’t the only one leaving, either. Joshua Shulman, the CEO, has also resigned, WWD is reporting. This all comes in the wake of the footwear company’s acquisition by Labelux last May.

The royal couple’s whirlwind weekend in California continued yesterday as Kate and William hit up a charity polo match (where tickets went for $4,000 and Giada De Laurentiis cooked the lunch.) She wore new fave designer Jenny Packham AGAIN–quite a lovely pale lilac dress with a floral print. Two elements of her outfit that sort of shocked us? We thought for sure she’d be sporting a hat for polo, but she let her wavy hair take center stage. And look at her feet: sandals! Yes, they’re nude, but they have a criss-cross strap and a respectable heel height. We’re calling this progress.

Somebody finally thought to give awesome couple Ice-T and Coco an awesome reality TV show, Ice Loves Coco. Coco has always had her own distinct style, which is getting a lot more exposure now that she’s on TV. She’s obviously a fashion lover and now she’s using music to express that love. In her first single, “Shoe Freak,” Coco simply lists shoe designers that she likes–in a breathy sexy voice, of course. Only a short excerpt of the single has hit the internet and in that minute she lists 16 shoe designers, including: Jimmy Choo, Yves Saint Laurent, Giuseppe, Gucci, Christian Louboutin, Prada, Valentino, Alexander McQueen, Dior, Ferragamo, Dolce & Gabbana, Miu Miu, Brian Atwood, Sergio Rossi, Fendi, and Louis Vuitton.
