Yesterday was a day of beautiful, impeccable hair and makeup. Proenza Schouler‘s girl was a bit dirty and downtown (as she usually is), Marchesa’s was regal (ditto), and Anna Sui’s was, well, you’ll just have to see for yourself!

You could picture celebrity stylist/Bravo star/designer/lifestyle brand Rachel Zoe in almost every look she sent down the runway for her fall 2013 collection. That’s been the hallmark of her collection since she launched it in 2011.
Still, yesterday’s collection was the least “Rachel Zoe” of anything she’s shown thus far.
Seriously, guys, is the line in the shitter or what?
Tyra Banks isn’t the only fashion mogul/reality TV star getting an autobiographical sitcom. On the heels of news that Banks is developing Fivehead, an ABC show about her teen years, comes news that Rachel Zoe is embarking upon a similar path.
The as yet unnamed show will be a half-hour single camera comedy based on Zoe’s life and will air on NBC, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
No one does easy nighttime glamour quite like Rachel Zoe. So it’s no surprise that my favorite looks wouldn’t look out of place on the red carpet–or on Zoe, herself, for that matter.
Diane von Furstenberg is one popular lady when it comes to the CFDA: The organization announced today that the designer will continue her reign as their president until at least 2014, WWD is reporting, making this her fourth term as president since her election in 2006 (the elections are held every two years) and the second time the board has extended her tenure. In other words, DVF is doing a kickass job and they want her to keep chugging along.
“Diane has done an excellent job as CFDA president,” Steven Kolb, CFDA chief creative officer, told the trade. “The time and resources she gives and the vision she has created is a huge benefit for our organization and industry.”

You’d think Karolina Kurkova‘s gold-spangled, turbaned Rachel Zoe mermaid suit gown from the Met Ball would be a one-of-a-kind look, but as it turns out, another supermodel blonde wore a very similar ensemble back in 2009: Kate Moss.
It’s the buzziest, most fashion-y red carpet of the year and it’s finally here! Welcome to the 2012 Met Ball red carpet! Finally, finally, Beyonce made it to the red carpet in the sheerest of Givenchy and the red carpet’s a wrap. So far we’re loving: Anna Wintour’s Prada-designed homage to Schiaparelli’s lobster dress; Prom Read more →
The Met Ball is this Monday, and obviously we can’t wait to see who will be in attendance and what everyone will be wearing to fashion prom. Excitement reached a fever pitch at last night’s fancy Balmain dinner, where we got to rub shoulders with the label’s young designer Oliver Rousteing, Anthony Vaccarello, and models Read more →
As everyone knows, the Kentucky Derby is the oldest, most prestigious gathering of preposterously big, totally unnecessary hats in North America.
And while we hear there’ll also be some nice horses running around a track, the part we’re obviously most looking forward to is scoping out what new and crazy heights Derby-attendees will go to with their chapeaux. Luckily for them, the Fall 2012 runways offered no shortage of showstopping toppers from Marc Jacobs’ unforgettable Jamiroquai-inspired hats, to Anna Sui’s goofy knit caps.
