‘Ab Fab’ Is Back, and Stella McCartney and Emma Bunton (aka Baby Spice) Will Guest Star

This morning we were reading about Stella McCartney‘s holiday party, where Edina Jennifer Saunders and Baby Spice Emma Bunton were among the guests in attendance. “Hmm, that’s odd,” we thought. “And super awesome.” Well, it just got better.

After being off the air since 2004, a new season of Absolutely Fabulous is making its debut this month. And both Stella McCartney and Emma Bunton will make cameos, the Telegraph is reporting.

Alexa Chung Beats Out Kate Middleton for the British Style Award (Plus the Full List of Winners from the British Fashion Awards)

The results from the British Fashion Awards are in and while there are a lot of familiar names in the winners’ circle, there are some surprises, too. Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen won for Designer of the Year (deservedly so). Alexa Chung took home the British Style award, which normally wouldn’t be so shocking–except this year she was up against Kate Middleton *gasp*. The Model category, made up of industry vets and a relative newcover, was a bit of a wild card. Stella Tennant, looking amazing in a skinny tuxedo, beat out Georgia May Jagger and Kristen McMenamy. Victoria Beckham, now a bona fide fashion designer, had some stiff competition with Burberry, Stella McCartney and Tom Ford for Designer Brand, but she won. Quite an achievement for a former pleather-wearing Spice Girl. Click through for a full list of winners:

Grandma-Appropriate, Not-Too-Tight Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas That Are Still Cute

Thanksgiving is a notoriously hard holiday to dress for because it requires sitting at a dinner table for hours with relatives who you only see once a year while simultaneously trying to consume unreasonable amounts of food and/or liquor. This presents a unique problem: dressing to impress your distant family while maintaining a level of comfort that is conducive to eating and sitting for long periods of time.

While we all know Thanksgiving isn’t the time to break out our best Carine Roitfeld-inspired look–too tight for face-stuffing!–finding a fashionable alternative to sweats can be difficult. We’ve pulled together the most stylish items that are comfy, chic, and won’t disturb your proper Grandma. (So don’t wear your Balenciaga Darth Vader visor, ok?)

Of course our list includes Stella McCartney, the legendary mixer of casual and elegant, our favorite button downs from Madewell, a hat trick of cute shoes, and a Céline t-shirt–because a girl can dream, right?

Check out all the Thanksgiving-friendly options in our slideshow!

Holiday Gift Guide: Designer Gifts You Can Fit Into a Stocking (and Your Budget)

Wanna get someone a fabulous gift that’s designer without breaking the bank? You totally can. In fact, a lot of designer labels cater to people like us who want to be fancy but for whom the Miu Miu shoes and Alaïa dresses we really want are far out of reach.

These aren’t knock-offs or collaborations or makeup, but real designer items that we would actually be very happy to find under the tree or in a stocking. Now if someone could tell us where to put stockings when you don’t have a fireplace, that would be great.

From Prada to Alexander Wang to Alaïa (seriously!), here are the 14 best little designer gifts that less than $300 can buy!

11 Perfect Pairs of Flat Booties

As we move into fall, it’s starting to get a little too cold for ballet flats. And as much we love a good pair of four-inch booties, sometimes our feet need a break–from discomfort, not style. Add a little extra protection from the elements and we’re sold.

Thus, we are really loving this season’s flat booties. No, we’re not talking about Dr. Martens (not that we have anything against those), but there are far chicer options thanks to labels ranging from Proenza to Chloé to Zara. Click through for 11 that we’d like to run around in all season long.

Don’t forget to stock up on socks!

Especially on the bugers and fries with mayo. {Terms of Endearment}

Trend Alert: Celebrities Wearing Runway Looks Before They Hit the Runway

If you are one of those encyclopedic fashion types who can look at a designer dress and identify the runway show from whence it came, you may have found yourself a little confused lately.

That sheer midriff-bearing Pucci dress that Gwyneth Paltrow wore to the Emmys on September 18? It turned up on Pucci’s spring 2012 runway on September 24. Obviously Gwyneth is a special lady who gets special favors–but she’s not the only celeb wearing fashion from the future.

Nelson Mandela Has a Clothing Line, Stella McCartney May Collaborate

No, the humanitarian and former South African president is not making a career change into fashion in his ’90s. However, he is the central inspiration for a new South African apparel brand called 46664, which was Nelson Mandela‘s prison ID number and is also the name of the Nelson Mandela Foundation’s AIDS awareness campaign.

The men’s and women’s brand has strong ties to Mandela’s legacy and, thus, to South Africa’s history, but also its future, as a sustainable way to benefit the country’s struggling clothing and textile manufacturing industries, as well as the Nelson Mandela Foundation’s charitable endeavors.
