Would You Rather…? Lindsay Lohan Vs. Pippa Middleton in Temperley

Everyone wants to be Pippa Middleton, including Lindsay Lohan, apparently. The troubled starlet, along with her mother and sister, were surprise guests at this weekend’s Kardashian-Humphries nuptials. She wore a long white dress–which isn’t scandalous, as guests were reportedly asked to wear black or white. However, it was the same Temperley London dress that Pippa Middleton wore to that other really big wedding earlier this year. The Royal Wedding’s breakout star wore a custom-made green version of the dress to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s reception back in April.

Kate Middleton Wears Alexander McQueen and Temperley Again

Kate Middleton Wears Alexander McQueen and Temperley Again

Over the past few days, Duchess Catherine wore some new digs by two designers she’s worn before. Today she attended Wimbledon with Prince Wills wearing a tennis-appropriate pleated tiered white frock by Temperley London. On Saturday, she wore a military style coat dress by Alexander McQueen to attend the Irish Guards military parade.

It seems that Sarah Burton for McQueen is becoming Kate’s go-to designer–Grazia reported last week that she was spotted at the label’s HQ in London picking up something red for her North American tour. Kate has proven that she’s loyal to the brands she likes and a loyalty to Sarah Burton at McQueen serves her very well indeed.

Click though to see more images of Kate in Temperley at Wimbledon today, and in McQueen at the Irish Guards parade on Saturday.

Beyond Kate Middleton’s Dress: What Everyone Else Will Be Wearing to the Royal Wedding

There’s one facet of the royal wedding that has most everyone (and especially us) rapt: Kate Middleton‘s dress. Who will design it? (No, really, tell us if you know.) Speculation over who will land the coveted commission has reached fever pitch and overshadowed all the other key players. And we thought they deserved a little love. Plus, we know more about what Prince William will wear, and what his grandmother the Queen will wear, and what Kate’s sister and maid of honor will wear, than what Kate’s wedding dress will look like. So as the big day draws near, here’s a look at what you can expect everyone else to be wearing.

Temperley London Fall 2011: Museum Pieces

LONDON–That no fashion show had ever been mounted at the British Museum now seems like an oversight, thanks to Alice Temperley’s theatrical production.

For her brand’s 10th anniversary, Temperley brought a collection about grown-up glamour to the London landmark’s soaring atrium.

The color palette was restricted to champagne, black, silver, and eventually, some Fire and Ice red (the Dorian Leigh version). A fan-skirted evening gown nodded at Victoriana and lingerie through an oversized, black-and-white lace print on champagne satin, with a pair of elbow-length leather gloves keeping it young.
