Let’s face it: Zac Posen was born to show at the Plaza. His clothes demand that you only sit on velvet-covered fainting couches. And this show was pure Posen, with a few new additions.
We spent our Sunday worshipping at the church of fashion–we dragged our sorry selves out of bed really early to check out Victoria Beckham‘s look at the New York Public Library and lasted all the way until the evening, when we ooh’ed and ah’ed over Zac Posen’s signature elegant beauty look. (Start practicing a gorgeous bordeaux lip!)
Today we hit the midway point in the New York fashion week madness, with shows from Derek Lam, Victoria Beckham, DVF, Zac Posen, and many more.
We got a pretty good seat behind Anna and Grace at Thakoon and spied Bryanboy and Fashionista contributor David Yi rocking matching looks at DKNY. We also caught dreamgirls Crystal Renn and Coco Rocha being beautified backstage as Zac Posen (as if they needed it), and models vogueing backstage at Derek Lam.

Not one but two ‘fashion hackathons’–one hosted by the CFDA and IMG and the other by Hearst–will take place during this coming New York fashion week. This news is pretty surprising when you consider that most fashion people probably don’t even know what a hackathon is.
To explain what a hackathon is, why it’s happening during New York fashion week, and what this means for the industry, we spoke with Liz Bacelar, founder of Decoded Fashion, an organization that creates events dedicated to bringing fashion and tech together. Bacelar, along with former Lincoln Center fashion director (and, before that, director of special events at Vogue) Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, made the CFDA/IMG fashion hackathon (an official part of NYFW) happen.
