And the Oscar goes to… Kate Moss? Ok, so maybe that’s a stretch. But it sounds like the ever-enduring face of Ms. Moss could finally be coming to a big screen near you–that is, if Jennifer Saunders has any say in the matter.

Saunders, the creator and star of Absolutely Fabulous, enlisted Moss for an Ab Fab cameo back in March, and apparently was muy impressed. Vogue UK is reporting (via Closer magazine) that Saunders is in the process of writing up a screenplay based on the long-running BBC sitcom, and there’s a role in it for Miss Moss.

Only Moss hasn’t signed off on the project just yet.

This week’s New Yorker has a nice long story about UK tabloid-supreme The Daily Mail and why the paper some prefer to call “Hate Mail” is doing so well. According to the story, the Mail has a daily readership of four and a half million (that’s four times as many readers as The Guardian) and in January, surpassed the New York Times in unique monthly visitors to their home page. 52 million different people click on The Daily Mail each month (and we admit it, we’re one of them).

There’s a nice little gem in there from one of the Mail‘s favorite subjects to skewer, Kate Moss. If you need a refresher about how the Mail feels about Moss, let us refer you to this story, where, after Moss walked in Louis Vuitton’s fall 2011 “fetish” show in hot pants, the paper went to great lengths to highlight her barely there cellulite. Nice, right?

Anyways…as per The New Yorker, after the Mail ran a story which described Moss as having “very obvious crow’s feet and lines beneath her eyes as well as blemished skin from years of smoking and drinking,” a journalist asked Moss why she thought the tab was so focused on her aging. To which Moss responded:

The wedding sounds like it was even more fun and amazing than all the photos make it seem–Jacobs says it felt like a “beautiful, spontaneous moment,” while Candy Pratts Price reveals that “[Kate] actually looked back at all of us when she had to say ‘I do,’ which we all thought was hilarious.” Aw. The purple McQueen dress may have come as a bit of a surprise to those who expected to see a wedding dress on Kate Moss’ September Vogue cover. Not to worry, though–there are dozens of wedding photos to be found inside of Kate and her glamorous guests. Terry Richardson’s unofficial photos made Mosstock look like the most fun wedding ever, and Mario Testino’s have pretty much confirmed that.

The just-released official photos include Kate, Jamie, Carine Roitfeld, Daphne Guinness, Terry Richardson, Stella McCartney, Naomi Campbell and more all against the gorgeous backdrop of Kate’s Costwolds home. There are a couple of editorial shots thrown in there as well–including (a very tasteful) one of Kate and her daughter, Lila, topless (Here’s hoping that does not incite Thylane Blondeau-esque outrage).
