Commissioned to do a sketch for German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung the day after the U.S. presidential election, Lagerfeld chose a subject he found inspiring: Re-elected president Barack Obama.

Karl Lagerfeld Did Not Really Call the President of France an Idiot, OK?
Karl Lagerfeld says what he thinks–even when the things he thinks are that Pippa Middleton is a butterface or that Adele is fat. You can’t mess with the President of France, though.
Lagerfeld is doing serious damage control following an interview in which he called French President François Hollande an “idiot”–apparently, it was taken out of context.

At 79, most people are at least considering retiring–but not Karl Lagerfeld. The almost-octagerian is working more than ever–designing helicopters, decorating hotels and designing over 10 collections a year–and he has no plans of slowing down…ever. Why?
“If I do [retire], I’ll die and it’ll all be finished,” the designer told Edie Campbell during an interview for Vogue TV (which we saw on Vogue UK). Yikes.
