Janna Ryan, wife to newly named VP candidate Paul Ryan, might be taking a page from MObama’s book, choosing to wear a $70 Kohl’s dress this past weekend. {HuffPo}

Kristen Stewart’s absence from a recent Balenciaga Florabotanica video concerned many – had she been given the axe due to her fling with married director Rupert Sanders? No worries: unlike us, it appears Balenciaga doesn’t really care about the issue. {The Cut}

Tyra Banks has learned to make GIFs. This could be the best thing to happen to the internet. {BuzzFeed}

Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell Take Their Lowest Paying Jobs Ever For The Olympics

The closing ceremonies for the London Olympics are shaping up to be quite a fashionable extravaganza. The Mirror is confirming that a band of British supermodels led by Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell will in fact be strutting their stuff in an ode to UK fashion during the closing ceremonies of the Olympics.

But a big pay day, this is not: The models will reportedly each be paid a paltry £1 for their talents.

Lord & Taylor Is the New Project Runway Sponsor

Lord & Taylor Is the New Project Runway Sponsor

Project Runway‘s getting a new retail partnership for its 10th season; but in a way, they’re going back to the beginning. After six seasons of e-tail partnerships with Bluefly and then Piperlime, they’re going with Lord & Taylor. As you may recall, the show’s original retail sponsor when we still watched it it was on Bravo, was another department store–Macy’s. Clearly, the show is eager to go back to the old formula, and having a department store sponsor–as opposed to an e-commerce one–could be a part of that.

A retail sponsorship with Project Runway means a few things, but mainly that, throughout the season, contestants (who don’t have meltdowns and leave) will choose pieces from the Lord & Taylor accessory wall to complete their looks and that the winner of the contest will have their collection sold by the retailer.

Carolyn Murphy is Replacing Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Who Was Replacing Angela Lindvall as Host of Project Runway All Stars

The second season of Project Runway All Stars just started shooting, and producers have had to deal with a special “challenge” of their own.

According to the Page Six, the latest installment of Lifetime’s reality series began filming early last month and was slated to have Rosie Huntington-Whiteley as its new host–that is, until she dropped out at the very last minute. Apparently, just three weeks before filming, the model/actress got the call to fly to Namibia to film the new Mad Max reboot, MM: Fury Road.

Evolution of the Slash: A Retrospective of Models-Turned-Actresses

Beauty and fame often go hand-in-hand, so it makes sense that models and actresses seem to be forever trading places.

The latest model to make the jump to acting is Erin Wasson, who we got a first look at in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter today. And she’s following in the footsteps of some of acting’s biggest names, like Mila Jovovich and Cameron Diaz, who got their start as models. But while the model-turned-actress is certainly not a new breed, there seem to have been even more slashes emerging recently: Gemma Ward, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Brooklyn Decker, for instance, have all made the jump. And the new Mad Max movie (Mad Max: Fury Road) is almost cast entirely with models: former model Charlize Theron and more current ones Abbey Lee and Rosie Huntington Whitely are all set to star.

And while the model/actress transition is certainly not rare–it can be hard to pull off (see: Cindy Crawford in Fair Game).

Click through for our round-up of the most memorable models-turned-actresses.
