We Chat with June Ambrose’s 8-Year-Old Daughter Summer, This Season’s Breakout Street Style Star

It’s not Ryan Lochte or even Lauren Conrad who’s been turning the most heads this New York Fashion Week. The sartorially-blessed mother and daughter duo, celeb stylist June Ambrose and seven-year-old daughter Summer Chamblain, have been everywhere this season. It’s been hard to miss the fabulously styled twosome; the grade schooler alone has a headwear collection to rival Anna Dello Russo’s.

We caught a second with June and Summer before the hot mess of a Custo Barcelona show for a majorly heartwarming and fashion frenzy palate-cleansing moment.

Did Lady Gaga Betray Her Gays by Wearing Fur?

A recent furry outing by Vogue covergirl Lady Gaga has predictably sent PETA into a tizzy. Dolce & Gabbana’s just-debuted couture line is off to a pretty damn good start as several people literally fainted at their recent show. Though it’s likely the fainting was due to the heat, we’d prefer to believe it was due to the collection’s sheer beauty.{The Cut}

Hermes Employees Helped an International Crime Ring Make $18 Million in Knockoff Birkins

Hermes is not messing around when it comes to counterfeits. Last month, the legendary luxury label shut down 34 counterfeit sites–and won $100 million in damages–and now they’ve helped the French police bust an international crime ring that produced and sold knockoffs of their bags, WWD is reporting.

Apparently, the illegal operation was making millions in Hermes counterfeits–one Paris public prosecutor put profits at 18 million euros (or $22 million) for just one branch of the ring–and they were doing it all with the help of actual Hermes employees.

The Top 20 Designer Collaborations: A Timeline

When H&M announced its latest designer collaboration with Maison Martin Margiela, we’ll admit we were a little surprised. Margiela is so avant-garde, so cult-y, and with little name recognition (OK, more than a little thanks to Kanye) we’d have figured them the last brand to do a collaboration with a mass retailer. But then again, H&M got Karl Lagerfeld to do a line for it in 2004, and then, somehow, the retailer convinced the most reclusive and enigmatic of designers, Rei Kawakubo, to do a Comme des Garcons collaboration in 2008. So maybe it’s not so surprising that Maison Martin Margiela is doing a mass collab–maybe it’s even obvious. It seems like every major designer has done a lower-priced collaboration with any number of mass retailers recently.
