What the Students Say:
"The co-op program allows your to intern for six months. Drexel's Design and Merchandising program allows you to go in many directions. And since the school offers many other majors and minors you can adjust your classes to any focus.
"It is a nice mix of fashion and business courses along with design-minded curriculum, with the added bonus of time set aside for work experience and the ability to take classes in colleges within the university outside of the arts and design college and to be able to interact with students studying very different topics."
"It is a fantastic school with endless possibilities. The co-op system is beyond helpful and Drexel has amazing connections. Professors care so much about students and create fantastic bonds between students and faculty. Students are not ultra competitive with each other and we want to see each other do great than fail. I have been pushed so much creatively and critically, I couldn't have thanked for a better education. It is also fantastic that it is not only an art school, there is all different types of people and theres a great social life as well."
The Bottom Line: Many students have won national and international awards, and gone on to study at the Chambre Syndicale and nab huge jobs in France. Though tuition is expensive, the proximity to New York City means that school-year internships aren't out of the question. And the school's co-op program means you can take six months out of school to do a paid internship.
