WHICH model took a date with a famous designer's son in hopes of booking their latest campaign?

Love Is Blind. We Are Not. Faux Sure!

WHICH beautiful socialite is often on the Vogue Best Dressed list despite the fact that she carries counterfeit designer bags? She says she likes them because "they're funny."

WHICH former starlet claims a recent magazine article and fashion shoot is disrupting her marriage? Here's a hint - magazines don't ruin relationships. Husbands do.
Cashmere Mafia Gets Whacked?
Feb 26, 2008 @ 11:25am
We hear from a TV source that the very silly Cashmere Mafia has been laid to rest.
If the internal gossip bleeding proves true, it means Candace Bushnell has won this battle with Darren Starr - remember, both her Lipstick Jungle show and Darren's woolly production are based on previous Bushnell books.
The move also marks the first time (maybe) that Patricia Field hasn't been able to save or at least salvage a production from total boredom - remember her costumes for Hope and Faith? They basically rescued the whole show.
Those wondering what Lucy Liu will do with her spare time might jet over to Germany, where the actress is giving an exhibit of her paintings next month.
Maybe she and Iekeleine can have a joint show at Gagosian?
Nina Ricci Says "Non" To Les Americains!
Feb 25, 2008 @ 11:34am
Lauren Davis and Reese Witherspoon may be Olivier Theyskens' biggest fans, but all other Yankee babes might need to step back:
We hear the notoriously snobby Nina Ricci press crew is revoking seats from American magazines, giving their viewing privileges to glossies in Russia and Japan instead.
The swap is creating something of a crush for magazines that aren't Vogue, forcing editors to squabble rather loudly in certain hotel lobbies about who's status is more important, an accessories director or a senior market editor.
It would be easy enough to say Fuck It if the clothes were overrated, but sadly, they're gorgeous, so the fights might actually be worth it...
Love Is Blind. We Are Not. Model Actress Dot Com!

WHICH sort of starlet, who's also been in a major ad campaign, is mobilizing to start a fashion website?
Love Is Blind. We Are Not. Added Value!
Feb 21, 2008 @ 1:12pm
WHICH European fashion brand is hinting to front-row celebrities that a possible Fall ad campaign is up for grabs, if they're agreeable with the press and paparazzi during their show? But whatever - we're only buying a bag if Kinga's holding it in the campaign!
Love Is Blind. We Are Not. ID Please.

Which model tried to buy a bikini for her upcoming tropical vacation with an unsigned credit card. When asked for her ID, she pulled out her model card and said, "Will this do?"
Rumor Mill: Rachel Bilson's Beauty Deal?
Feb 14, 2008 @ 1:30pm
We hear Rachel Bilson is inching closer to signing a deal with a major makeup company (like: Duane Reade, not Sephora).
If true, the campaign would mark Rachel's first big foray into commercials, and a step towards Mischa Barton's ad revenue from her campaigns for Keds, Bebe, and Iceberg.
Weirdly, Rachel hasn't been booking too much acting work, which is surprising considering she's so appealing. Her big (and silly) movie Jumpers hits theaters this week, and after that - at least according to IMDB - it's nothing.
Maybe she's clearing her schedule to shoot the big makeup commercial...
[PS: That's Rachel in Jenni Kayne, wearing what we think every girl should wear to the office, every day.]
Love Is Blind. We Are Not. Definitely, Maybe.
Feb 11, 2008 @ 12:02pm
WHICH major fashion editor, usually a bit buttoned-up, was spotted at Bagatelle in the West Village this weekend, dining with a younger and incredibly hot, scruffy man? Hint: We were surprised she wasn't in London yet.
C'est L'Heure
Feb 08, 2008 @ 6:16pm
We heard from someone working with Marc that tonight's show is a Sonic Youth concert, with a stage instead of a runway, a stadium seating plan instead of a catwalk alley, and basically pandemonium point five. Is it true? We'll find out in... well, either one hour or four hours, depending on when, exactly, the clothes are ready. Place your bets.
Love Is Blind. We Are Not. Pay Per View!
Feb 08, 2008 @ 3:23pm
WHICH fashion label paid some major celebs $40,000 each to sit through their 15-minute show?
Erin Fetherston, The Perfume?
Feb 08, 2008 @ 10:40am
So here's our undisclosed Fashion Week rumor for the day, which we either heard:
a) Backstage at the Erin Fetherston show.
b) Last night at Agyness Deyn's wild birthday party.
c) In a Fifth Avenue elevator.
Erin Fetherston is getting her own perfume. It will be done by Coty; it will come in a heart shaped bottle; it will smell like daisies and fairy princesses and dresses that don't quite fit.
At least, that's the rumor.
Enjoy.
Gossip Boys Are Out and About
Feb 07, 2008 @ 3:34pm
Don't look now, but the Gossip Girl boys seems to be on the Spring Fashion cover of Out.
It's sort of adorable and hysterical that they managed to wrangle them for a cover, especially since they're on a show that (theoretically) doesn't exist anymore.
The picture is also rather funny because usually when Out features straight boys on their cover, there's at least a bit of a question... but these three floppy kids look ready to charge into a frat party with every intention of videotaping their latest powder puff contest on a bed.
The cover launches at an Out party next week -
We predict singles of both teams will be desperately trying for a turn at bat.
Alas, we saw Mr. Crawford at the Prada party on Monday night, and he didn't seem interested in anyone or anything at all.
Love Is Blind. We Are Not. Say Cheese!

WHICH major model will only pose for "real" photographers this season? When groups of girls with digital and cell phone cameras approached her backstage at Anna Sui, she told them - not so nicely - to go away. What she didn't know? One of them was the assistant of a major editor...

M.I.A. is DJing the after party on Friday night; she'll be front row with Victoria Beckham and Courtney Love.
Are you going to be too tired to party, dance, and scream to the music?
Because that would just be sad. Of course, if you're going to the show, you might not have a choice...

Good News, Bad News for Halston
Feb 06, 2008 @ 9:32am
Despite the fact that Gwyneth Paltrow didn't show for Halston's first revival runway effort, there's still some good big news from the brand:
We heard Natalie Massenet telling Rachel Zoe at the Marc by Marc show that "the small sizes are already almost all sold out," despite the fact that they went onsale... um... this morning.
Not bad at all for a bunch of very expensive cashmere jersey.
Meanwhile, there's another rumor circulating:
That Halston paid celebrities and influencers to show up at their afterparty.
It wouldn't be the first time that's happened during Fashion Week, but if true, it's certainly one of the most interesting ideas... personally, we'd go anywhere to celebrate sweaters-as-evening-gowns, even if we had to pay to do it!

When I first started modeling, I was 21. I got to New York, I went to a Marc by Marc casting. They kept me there for eight hours and then they said, "How old are you?" I said, "I'm 21." They said, "Sorry, Marc only likes teenagers!"
The next year, they called me in again. It was late at night; there were kids on the floor in sleeping bags. I was like "Hey," and they go, "How old are you?" I didn't feel like lying. I said 22. They said, "You have to be a teenager."
This year, I got a call asking if I could come in. I said I couldn't.

Dear Fashionista,
Heard Fergie's going to be in the front-row of Marc by Marc tomorrow, because she can't make the actual Marc show but still wants to show her support.
Also, what's the deal with Agyness being in London? That's what I heard, and I haven't seen her!
Love Is Blind. We Are Not. It's Okay, Really.

WHICH Vogue darlings - two designers and a model / socialite / whatever - got rejected from Rose Bar? Flummoxed, one asked, "But, but... don't you know who we are?"
"Oh yes," answered the doorman, "And that's why you're not coming in."
Yikes!

From what I've heard, MJ is doing a show.
He suggested to his KCD people on a whim that he should do a really small selective show of a hundred people, but luckily, they talked him out of it.
And how good was the Alexander Wang show??? Love love love.

Venetia Scott going into Balthazar with a friend.

A connection?
"The Hills" to Mara Hoffman?!
Feb 02, 2008 @ 1:39am
Well here's a fun one:
We hear from someone closely connected to the Mara Hoffman show tomorrow that it's going to be a rather big, rather odd deal.
Why?
Because Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port are going to be there, working (somehow) on the show.
Since the Mara Hoffman catwalk has little or nothing to do with Teen Vogue, we're a little confused:
Does this mean Lauren and Whitney go work for Mara - a Los Angeles favorite label - after their tenure at Conde Nast is over?
That's what we're hearing... but of course, Fashion Week is about as reliable as a 7th grade game of telephone... but this all sort of makes sense...
Cat Holstein's Secret Message?
Feb 01, 2008 @ 2:04pm
This morning's unconfirmed, unannounced, and totally silly rumor comes from the Catherine Holstein presentation last night, where someone had the brilliant idea of mixing Kluge wine with whiskey, leading showgoers to tipple on their toppling, towering heels.
A night so fun could only inspire gossip, but it's not about the drinks. Instead, it's the suspiciously bulls-eyed symbols as seen in Catherine's trippy art backdrops last night.
We know they were all inspired by old Miro paintings probably housed in her parents' summer estate, but still:
Is there a whiff of Target interest in the works?
Stay tuned - they're bound to run out of young designers at some point...
