me? I "go without" makeup for days, but all I really feel like I'm doing is saving myself the bother of wiping it off at the end of the day.
I consider makeup to be just another part of the outfit.
I don't see much difference in my skin after a week or whatever of letting my makeup bag gather dust, but I'm sure it might affect others differently.
To each her own, then.

I saw a girl in the art building at my school wearing a pair of these a couple of weeks ago. they looked pretty good on her.
however, I could never pull them off, and I don't think I would ever want to!

It's awesome how diverse and interesting the comments so far have been. lovin the multicultural perspectives, guys :)
I'm from the intensely vanilla town of Vienna, VA but moved to Hawaii a few years ago. When I first got here I was surrounded by gorgeous asian/pacific islander girls, which made me uncomfortable being comparatively tall, very pale and freckled.
I'm all right now, though. No more beach marathons and Maui-Babe browning lotion for me. Hooray for ginger haoles!

Some days I'll dress up to go to class, some days, I won't. And I don't really think it makes much of a difference on the whole, but I do feel a little cooler the days I know I look good. :)
But I live far, far away from anywhere like New York City, and I think that if I did, I would feel and act differently because of the people around me. I would probably dress up more often and spend more money expressing myself through clothing, so to speak.
