It does have a shoulder strap. It's made from Italian leather and custom-made hardware by an NYC-based label. Here's another picture of it where you can see the shoulder strap:

@Frank: I love the M by MJ duffel. Is it really heavy though? Sometimes those MJ bags are so heavy, even without anything in them.
