I feel bad for your loos but you are in a complete dream scenario! I say pick a few basics (black pants, a few perfectly cut dresses, a pencil skirt or two and some fantastic jeans) that are timeless and good enough quality to last. After that go babanas and have fun with accessories and shoes and little vintage jackets and peices to pair with those basics to create tons of looks. Not a mishmosh, but definitely not limited to just one look.

Oversee? As in attach her name to stuff other people create while she drums up publicity? Nothing against the girl but how did this happen? Ungaro is a big jump from producing a line of leggings.

Gap or Old Navy is a good place to start. Depending on your definition of affordable ShopBop has some really good ones now too.

I have been seeing sequin covered leggings for a while. On someone with long thin model legs they look cool when style right. I would be afraid of the sound they made when I walked though, like disco corduroy.

Try a bit of Febreeze on the lining if it is cloth, or if it is leather get a good leather cleaner from your local shoe repair place and give it a once-over.

I was at Sephora last night and the woman helping me showed me the boxes of temp tattoos they just got and was telling methey are really popular because it is a fun way to accessorize without doing over the top makeup or jewelery. Not for me, but it is a cool idea!

Ferocios1, girl is not chubby. She is just not stick thin anymore. I think shes much cuter like this than when she was thin an gaunt, that is not her look.

ASOS has done this for years, had video of their clothes on the runway. It is nice to see how the fabric moves, but it doesnt usually affect my decision to buy

LOL, that last commenter just wrote the worlds longest blog post to tell someone else to talk less. Abby, I enjoy your writing, and that is why I come here, because I like it. If Keen Observer feels differently, perhaps they should go to Style.com, which actually is the Vogue of fashion websites, complete with a blog.

I think #2 is right, Nothing tastes as good as thin feels. My friend's mom had this posted on their pantry door my entire childhood. It never kept anyone away from the cookies.

Isnt the point of excitement that you can not control when it happens? Like being offended, or having chocolate cravings, it is a reaction. Shouldnt marketing folks know how to play to that?

Agreed #1, milk cows are not necessarily any better for the environment or consuming less space than cotton fields. Hemp and bamboo are such easy, obvious alternatives. Why not divert this time and money into finding a process to convert bamboo to fabric with less ecological consequence?
