I remember that Eniko spread in FV - and LOVED it. This image of Leighton at 60 is totally different from that, in a bad way. It immediately made me feel really sad for her - is this what she'll look like in 40 years? If so, she needs to stock up on tightening cream, STAT. My mom is almost 60 and doesn't have 90% of the wrinkles that the image above does.

The Conde culture should be questioned. Le sigh. What's wrong with scaling back a bit? Even if it's just to "seem" in touch with reality. Take a yellow cab (it's much cheaper than having a hired driver at your beck and call for $300 a day).

When I worked at In Style, we'd send interns home in town cars. Trust me-those bills add up!

I think it's good that publishing in scaling back. I for one am happy to see a bit of return to normalcy.

I've always thought that accessories editors were a bit superfluous to begin with.

Why pay a hefty salary when you can hire another assistant to help you sort through shoes, bags, and jewelry?

That's why In Style let their AE go, and are now spending that money elsewhere.

She said NYC ROOM people, not apartment. Clearly she's referring to an apartment share. The only way you'll get a studio in Manhattan for $800ish is if you live in nosebleed, upper Manhattan. Even higher than Harlem!

I think this idea was Mark Fast's PR hail mary shot in the dark. Have you realized how much press this collection has gotten?

Sad that people had to lose their jobs over it, but whatever. Now I'm actually paying attention to the previously unknown Mark Fast.

23 people in Glamour's fashion department is a tad bit excessive. Cutting parties makes a lot of sense, as well as creating cheaper fashion shoots. Lucky has a photo studio on their floor; maybe other mags should think of installing the same. No need to shoot in Antartica - no one really cares. Just show us the clothes baby!

Wang pretty much embodied the look I go for every day. Oh, and the Charlotte Ronson ballerina bun. And yes, teased hair will always be so much sexier than nice and neat.
