The Other Dress

jcrew dress that i really really want.jpgI’m getting married in June and would love a sexy, off-white - although greys, neutrals, etc. are fine, just no black - going-away dress!

It’s the dress I’ll wear on the way to the Ritz on our wedding night so it needs to be something that my grandma can see me in and my fiance will want to see me in.

Also, I’d rather spend less than $300 unless it’s absolutely, ridiculously perfect.

I’ve been searching forever and am hoping you guys can help!

Thank you.

i've worked there in the past, and know that they throw away thousands of clothes every year because they don't want to taint their "brand image." instead of, you know, giving it to people in need or making donations. because poor people don't wear abercrombie. (in short, abercrombie is ridiculous).

i do like ruehl, however. although i always think it resembles a club selling some hard drugs whenever i'm in there.

i can't believe i read through all this and still feel compelled to comment. i think i look kinda cute and ready for the snow when i wear my beat up uggs, leggings, and big sweater... with a scarf, usually a fitted winter vest and some earmuffs, of course.

they are popular because they work. i don't get the jean skirt + uggs thing, though... seems like a fashion oxymoron.

i, too, change into them at work, i work in the city and get yelled at by my all-male coworkers for wearing stilettos in the middle of a cleveland snowstorm.

thank you! i'm at work and unfortunately cannot look all those up right now, but I will definitely when I get home. I am petite... about 5' tall (but will be wearing 4" heels), and slender. Thank you again...
