Georgina Chapman; and you might even count Mary-Kate Olsen if you think she actually designs anything.

Patrick Robinson is great and all, but I was convinced Star Jones would be the guest judge. Let's just say he's no Star Jones.

They were judges on the first season of Project Catwalk. PS: does anyone know how I can get my hands on DVDs of that?! PPS: I've been loving the episodes of Project Runway Canada (even though I'm reduced to watching them on YouTube). I have such a crush on Lucian!

Laetly, I've been taking as few shopping bags as possible; instead I opt to shove what I can in my everyday duffle or tote with one exception: the small Barney's bags. I love these because they're perfect for carrying a bottle or two of wine either to a party or to a BYOB restaurant. They're perfect because of the longer straps.

Back when I was in high school, I remember all the gals would get their prom shoes dyed at Bakers!

"Stella McCartney also made a bunny backpack for LeSportsac."
Stella also appropriated the Koons bunny on some jewelry a few seasons back.

Frank *loves* Paul Smith precisely for that "English dandy meets rock n' roll meets East Village hipster" look. I just scored me a pair of black/white patent wing-tip sneakers (to add to my collection of other wing tip sneakers from PS). No sooner did I buy them, I noticed NM.com upped the price on their website $50! Schweet!

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I recall having the impression that when Barney's first started carrying the Botkier bags. . . didn't it appear to be a more affordable (knock-off?? gasp!) Balenciaga bag?

Steamer. . every day. Sometimes twice a day. I never burn myself. It's much much faster than ironing and you do much less damage to the garment.

This is a top-down business model problem. Salespeople who don't stand to lose commission on a return have no dis-incentive to swap out a piece of damaged merchandise, however the salesperson is not generally given the authority to do so. Managers will remain behind the scenes (watching on the security cameras!) coaching the salespeople on these "we'll fix it" tactics. If things get ugly enough the manager will either come in and reiterate and the person will either give up or take it up the chain of command and at some point a powerful person will ride in on a white horse. The managers don't want to have to take the item back as a damage because it hurts their bottom line and negatively impacts their bonus. Even when such managers are forced to take the damage, they'll often re-introduce the damaged merchandise back into the inventory and hope to transfer it out and sell it to a less discerning customer. It's really a nasty element of the business.
