That's a tough call.
You've got to A: have the body and B: the attitude to rock them right and I think you have to be living in the right place. In NYC, for sure. In the Midwest I don't think you'd even be able to find them, much less wear them (at least that's been my experience, unfortunately).
That picture makes them look okay, but it takes a very special person to pull them off.
I don't think I could get away with them. Ever.

Miriam: you're not making this up.
The NYTimes had an article a few weeks ago about how chipped nail polish is becoming an acceptable trend for work. The only time it wasn't good was for a job interview or on your toes.
Everyone interviewed in the piece agreed that chipped nail polish on the toes is never good.

She looks a lot like that model, Gia Carangi from the eighties (who looked like she could be the love child of Hillary and Cindy).

I've been buried in books for a while, but did Stylista begin airing yet? If so, when and where can I catch it?

She looked a little heavier(and not in a bad way) in the movie than she did in the series.
She certainly doesn't look like an 8 to me but it would be nice if that's true.

Damn! And I just bought a beautiful black one from Calvin Klein.
If only I'd known!
Maybe I'll have to get Isaac's, too ;)

How could they not include Linda?!
There was a certain sophistication about the supermodels back then, which is not to say that the Stam, Daria and Caroline are not fab in their own right, they are, it's just different somehow. The girls today don't look as though they are having any fun, except maybe Agy.
For all of Naomi's really bad behaviour, she is fantastic on the runway. With all of her bad press, I'd almost forgotten.

Hmmm... HASBRO licensing adult sleepwear and underwear(?) gets the same reaction from me as Carlos Santana coming out with a line of women's shoes: WTF?!

Isn't the whole F21 store a 'we worship the ground Marc Jacobs walks on' section?

I think what was great about SATC in the beginning was they didn't have designers clamouring to get their products placed. The fashion, as designed by Pat Field, was current for the time and helped to tell the girls' stories in a unique way.
What bugged me about the movie was that designers and logos were being shoved down my throat the whole time.
Now, I could care less about the SATC 'look'.
It needs a new word for 'over'.

Well said anonymoose, I totally agree.
I'd love to see more eco-fashion out there.
I don't think the impetus of the green movement is losing ground, but in these difficult economic times, eco-fashion could gain a greater foothold by being more affordable and therefore accessible to everyone.

Yeah, I was wondering the Carrie Underwood commercial was about..interesting marketing idea.
It would've been great if they called it something like 'Street Fashionista' but I guess 'Pop Cutie' will appeal to the tween market as well.
Looks like it could be fun!

I like your reference to the Guess Who's 'American Woman'. A classic song by a classic Canadian band.
I know it has nothing to do with the fashion layout, it's just a choice tune.

That setttles it! I have a fab LBD that is too fun to just wear black opaque tights with. I'm going to wear it with burnt orange tights (if I can find them) and my black patent Mary Jane's.
Can't wait for fall. It may look choppy, but I don't care.
