Anonymoose-

I did (and still do) the same thing with robin's egg blue. And Hermès orange. And rossa corso. And aubergine.

Also: I rock brown with black like there's no tomorrow.

I bought a push-up bra in middle school, wore it for about a week, and then jettisoned it.

Since then, I haven't even been able to stand so much as molded cups. A bra that fits properly will give you cleavage, regardless; the effect some push-ups have borders on the grotesque.

I don't believe in false advertising.

Are you kidding?

I loathe backpacks to the point where I'm trying to find a way to travel for a month in Azerbaijan without one.

I am reminded of John Favreau's great spiel in Swingers: "I spend half the night talking to some girl who's looking around the room to see if there's somebody else who's more important she should be talking to. And it's like I'm supposed to be all happy 'cause she's wearing a backpack, you know?"

Wow! Look at those pins.

I love it when models actually have leg muscles to speak of.

In the second paragraph, "'application'" and "ads" ought to be switched.

(Sorry; the editor within me will not be quiet.)

If there are details on the vehicle, please do tell. "80's black Rolls Royce" doesn't cut it for us gearheads.

Florals:Spring::Skinny:Hedi? Maybe I'm just dating myself as part of the generation that had analogies on the SAT.

Regardless, my pocketbook is glad that I don't wear jeans; this collaboration would, otherwise, empty is quite quickly.

As a sailor, it irks me to see people who don't sail wearing boat shoes.

Hipster = poseur = get a haircut, get a job, get a life.

For me, the question would be, "What would I do to get rid of them?"

And the answer would be, "Anything."

I think that's the point. She looks like a wreck. It's the downward spiral of the wayward starlet.

When editorials try to have some sort of greater meaning, they usually fall flat on their faces; this one doesn't fall quite so sharply. They have Ms. Stone to thank for that. A lesser model would have made this disastrous.

I got my first pair when I was your age, so part of me just wants to say, "Go for it!"

There's quite the range in price for these shoes, and I don't know what you're looking for; but after having spent as much money as I have in the five years since, I would say buy a pair on sale and add the remainder to your portfolio.

CHURCHILL.

When the docent at the Cabinet War Rooms told me this, I literally fell to the ground laughing.

If only he could see it now...

(I suppose that I should have clarified that it's the OTHER Winston Churchill; the docent was rooting out the ambiguity when someone asked. If it were the PM, that would have been too rich!)

Men's shirts are longer than women's, but they don't cover even half of my ass.

The outfit you described was worn by a group of women at the Castro Halloween party a couple of years ago; they dubbed themselves the "Walk of Shame Girls." Enough said.

For those of you in San Francisco, Anthony's Shoe Service is a-maz-ing. Bag and shoe repair (for even the most drastic of situations) is top notch.

But cobblers in general are the place to take leather goods in need of refurbishment.

Refusing to pay more than four dollars for a bottle of body lotion, I use Suave's cocoa butter concoction. I think it smells like, well, cocoa butter; guys, on the other hand, have told me that I smell like chocolate chip cookies on more than one occasion. And they love it.

Maybe it reminds them of mom in the kitchen? Oedipus would be proud.

Are you talking about the Fairlane concept car?

It's modeled after a woody, which with those surfboard associations is as close to "nautical" as I can get.

And, of course, it would be Mr. Lauren whose influence that is. Not sure about any skills being leant besides his opinions.
