Crocs are awful.

Regarding Uggs: I also live in Upstate NY, where Uggs rein supreme for their warmth. I don't hate them, but wish I could find something that was just as warm and also more fashionable and functional (Uggs aren't great with the snow and salt). If anyone can find such a winter boot, let me know. I have searched every store to man since September and have found nothing,

I too am a MakeupAlley.com (I won't buy anything without reading it first!) and Cetaphil addict. Magazines seem to generally feature products that have ads in their magazine. I've bought products in the past that magazines have raved about, with disappointing results.

Excellent point about the styling. Love ET though.

Entry: Would You Wear Fake Glasses?

I think it's awesome that fake glasses are in -- I'd feel kind of silly wearing them, but if it makes it "OK" for girls who need glasses to wear them, I'm all for it! I have horrible vision and need a break from my contacts, and I've been dying to get some nice designer frames. I don't think that glasses look particularly good on me (some girls look so good in them), but my eyes actually need them and I've loved the look since I saw the video for "Stay" with Lisa Loeb. Those cat-eye frames! Still love them. I saw these awesome bright red thick D&G frames at Lenscrafters but I don't think I have the guts to wear them.

I love the pin-up style -- whether it's trendy or not, I try to incorporate the elements into my wardrobe, just because I love it. But I do believe you can take retro too far, and I also believe that some things should NEVER be revived -- like those spandex bicycle shorts with the stretchy lace on the bottom (I had them in purple and black when I was little and they were so hot right then; please never again).

I agree with the guest (4:54PM) who said red was her best. Fake-looking, damaged bleached blonde hair makes a girl look older, even someone Lindsay's age. Anyway, I used to be a big fan up until her misadventures got to be WAY too much this summer and she still hasn't seemed to learn. She needs to ditch the leggings, wear something fabulous and not be a drunk, embarassing mess at Fashion Week... and then try to get a good film made.

How ridiculous! If you're wearing any manufactured item, you're not an original. Who cares if someone buys the same thing you own? It's not like you designed it. I definitely knew people like this in high school (like "the abercrombie girl") and reading these comments, I can see they haven't grown up. Some people actually thrive on this kind of cattiness, I guess; not me.

I feel like this is becoming an irritating Fashionista habit -- crying out "Copycat, copycat!" It reminds me of arguments that my little sister and I would have when we were under the age of 10. "You're copying me!" "Mom, tell her to stop copying me!"

But out of all of these "Adventures in Copyright" posts, this one irritates me the most. The game of checkers originated many, many years ago. LV did not invent the checkerboard pattern. The shape of the bag is extremely simple, too.

It would be one thing if it was a very unique design that was getting ripped off. But come on.

This is hilarious. I saw a bunch of kids at the mall on Friday wearing tiaras, and I thought it was a freak occurance. This is a trend? They looked crazy!
