Dearest Fashionista Readers,
I’m a 16 year old fashion and beauty maniac who works at a teen newspaper in Atlanta You can check it out here at VoxRox.org. Our latest issue deals with “Masks and Identity” and I found myself asking, if by dressing up, are we really just covering up?
I’m certainly no beauty expert, but I do love to sit and apply colors and powders of all sorts to my face, but lately, I’ve had to ask myself, am I covering up more than a blemish? Basically, is makeup just a mask?
I’d love to hear your opinions on this.
Thanks!
Hi Fashionphiles,
I’ve been trying to think of catchy (not corny) ways to say ‘fashion’ without actually saying it.
I’m on my school’s newspaper and I work at a teens-only newspaper in Atlanta, and when I write fashion-themed articles, I worry the words get repetitive.
Any helpful phrases?
Thanks!
I just started my sophomore year of high school last week and it’s really hard to be chic with the super stiff dress code my school insists on making us follow.
Unfortunately, it’s not quite Gossip Girl, I can’t accessorize my plaid mini with thigh highs and patent heels. But does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can spice up my basic dress code?
I don’t want to be stuck wearing skinny jeans and polo shirt all year.
Please help!
Thanks!
