Starting the last day of this month (and this Sunday if you're overseas), you can buy the outfit at left, designed for a virtual fashion show on the Sims 2, at H&M.
Over 1,000 people pieced together their own original outfits onto teeny tiny little on-screen models for the catwalk, which was simulcast on Yahoo, and the winner turned out to be a 21-year old interior design student, Beau Fornillos.
From what we can tell, the outfit isn't half bad, especially considering it was made with just the little design tool kit in the Sims 2 game.
But really, is anyone else irked by what seems like suddenly prominent cross over between fashion and video games? Or are we just waiting for a game that lets you design whatever you want then spits out the outfit via a printer in your closet?
You know how sometimes you get really goofy with your friends and do stuff like make a lip synching video to boy band songs and do dance moves like the cat-eyes and head thrashing?
Yeah, us neither, but it looks like at least Behati Prinsloo and her turquoise wig wearing friend do.
We know this clip (lovingly unearthed and sent in by reader Modesto) is on the long side, but seriously watch it the whole way through to kick off the long weekend properly.
If only we looked as good as Behati while making hate faces to a web cam...

A few of you, like us, have wondered where some of the bigger models have been during this week's couture shows.
Thanks to Rajni over at NYLON, we at least have roll call for Freja figured out -
She snapped the Danish dudette walking the Hope show at Stockholm Fashion Week yesterday, with gawkers aplenty staring on behind her.
We think this is one of the nicer runway shots we've seen of her - rested, kind of casual, totally at ease.
On an only somewhat related note, we think all Stockholm Fashion Week shows should include free Swedish fish for everyone in gift bags...

guys - ciao is commonly used to just say "hi" in a lot of languages. yes, it comes from italian and means "bye" but it's been adopted as an informal "hey" by a lot of languages, portuguese being one of them. i grew up hearing "ciao" all the time, and not just by italian people - by portuguese and spanish.

anonymoose - there are two magazine stands downtown that i particularly like - there's one at the corner of 6th ave and (i think) 11th st. (it might be 12th, i can't remember, i just know it when i see it.) there's another at the corner of lafayette and spring that hayley just introduced me to that definitely sells vogue italia.
the thing is, international magazines take a little while to get here, like maybe 3 weeks longer, i think, just fyi.

hey guest @3:08 - we always name the source of the posts in the tags, in red lettering just under the actual post. we got this editorial from summer winter, which only comes out twice a year. the photographer is also listed in the title page of the shoot (which we always also include, usually first after the jump), though i understand that it can be hard to make out sometimes, so here: his name is justin smith.

well, officially. there's a private sale going on right now that started at 9am, but between you, me, and everybody who reads this, they're not checking names at the door. in fact, there are signs all over the street entrance inviting people up.
