Adventures in Copyrights is one of my favorite reads and this one is tops!
But I would like to mention that when you spend $190 for an item, you are definitely not at a thrift shop.

People always pronounce Rodarte incorrectly, that would be a great addition. Also, we all saw the Target ads and they say "SKOOL-er". I've been to the sale quite a few times in LA, but I only ever see junk. Plus, clothes/shoes are thrown everywhere - these are not conditions I want to shop in.
Aren't these the clothes they couldn't get people to buy when they were in the store full price? and also at 30%, 50%, & 60& off...

Related is this great book I just read entitled The Perfect Scnent. It was written by the NYT scent critic Chandler Burr who I met at a ladies luncheon last week. Fascinating for those who want to know how perfume is made, and how they should pick one for themselves.
I cannot wait to try this one out.

I love The Hills, but I'm going to have to say Whitney is pretty dim herself. I believe she might only have a vocabulary of 10-15 words because she says the same thing in every episode. "Yeah" "Totally" "Right" "OK" - I can use those words to, but I can also touch my nose while standing on one foot. Please tell I am not the only one not falling for Whitney "the smart girl" Hills "character".
