I Must Have These Shoes!

communitygapshoes.jpgCalling all Fashionista shoppers and shoe devotees:

I really need some help with these open-toe, slingback, pyramid heel shooties with the zippers. I am completely obsessed and on an up until now fruitless mission to find them and make them mine.

I called Gap…nothing. I searched online for a month…nothing. Thought they might be on their sister site, Piperlime…no such luck.

Does anyone have any thoughts on who these could be by or if they are just some generic brand I’m not thinking of.

I will be ever so grateful for any suggestions. Thanks!

Fashion Investing

barneysexteriorshot.jpgHi!

So I have recently come into an inheritance. I plan to use most of the money to responsibly pay off school loans. But I would also like to buy myself an investment piece of some sort. The problem? I have no idea what to buy!

That’s where you come in. I’m not really into bags but I do love coats and boots (I live in New York City).

What do you guys think? I want something that I could keep wearing for a really long time and that won’t go out of style.

Can’t wait to hear your ideas.

what do you mean by "job in fashion?" Journalism, PR, sales, etc... It's a well known fact that, here in NYC, you'll be hard-pressed to even land an interview without living in the city. When I was looking for my first fashion (journalism) job in the city, I sent my resume in on a Tuesday afternoon, an editor emailed me Wednesday morning, I was at her office at 1p.m. that same day. Got the job on Thursday started that following Monday. It's a crazy process and I am def. not the only one who landed a position in that way. My advice, move to nyc first. Nanny, waitress, work at The Gap or live off savings. The day you get here is the day you start applying to everything you can with your new address at the top of your resume. Bon chance!
