With me it's sort of the opposite. I have to tone down my style for college and can dress fun when I'm home in LA. If I wore things I wear to class out in LA, I'd definitely feel underdressed.

Well, props to Doutzen for taking the initiative to go out and make her dreams happen instead of sitting around waiting to be discovered.

PLEASE, get Emma's age right for once!!

She's 17, not 16.

...Although she looks about 70 in the picture. I think her outfit and makeup looks kind of stuffy and boring here. It is possible to look fresh and youthful without coming off as slutty or inappropriate.

Entry: Would You Wear A Political Statement?

I agree with Laia. My friend wore some stupid shirt the other day that said "Friends don't let friends vote democrat." But when I started talking to her about politics, she got annoyed. If you choose to wear a political statement, I think you should be prepared to defend it and accept any criticisms that come along with it.

I see where you’re coming from and I think that in certain circumstances, that can be true. But I think that most (if not all) political statements are going to offend SOMEBODY. For example, wearing a Nazi Swastika would offend most people. Wearing an anti-Bush shirt would offend some people. I think if you choose to wear something controversial knowing people are going to be offended by it, you’d better be prepared to defend your position and discuss it.

I don't see anything wrong with doing this at all.

I mean, what is the return policy there for? If you buy something and change your mind about it, or it doesn't fit or is defective, then go get your money back.

That said, I think it's a little bit tacky to buy a nice outfit for a special occasion, keep the tags on it, and then return it. I don't condemn other people who do it, because maybe they have a good reason (i.e. important job interview, can't afford a new outfit) but I have never dont it before and wouldn't want to.

haha! I love that dress, but it looks really hard to pull off. It looks great on Posh, because she's a twig, it looks great on the mannequin, but I think very few people could look good in this dress.
