my mom's been going going salt and pepper for years, and only this year i've convinced her to stop dyeing her hair. aging is dignifying, and i think gray hair makes more of a statement than platinum blonde if it's kept neat.

i own a pair of tory silver jelly ballet flats. they hurt like hell. i realize they're plastic since they're see-through jelly flats, so there's no way i'll break them in without breaking my feet first, but please, someone help. i've only worn them once, and i've already tried to stretch them out with a shoestretcher at home.

Entry: Do You Know the Shopbop Models?

i agree with bighug.
a lot of times i think her pose or the look on the face turns me off the item she's modeling, which is the opposite of what shopbop wants her to do.

also, i find myself not looking at her when i'm doing a search for a brand or a style, and the search results show up with a page full of the models. it's subconscious, but my eyes glaze over her. kind of like the way her eyes are glazed over and dead in most of the pictures.

my college roommate had on all of her jewelry and makeup when she hit the school gym. i never questioned it, because i've seen her fully made up to walk to walgreens or fall asleep with her makeup on, but i assume she either didn't have the time to take everything off before she got into her gym clothes, or she didn't have time to do her makeup or accessorize between getting home from the gym and going out again.

for guest 5:03am -- check these: http://www.amazon.com/Chinese-Laundry-Womens-Strate-Over/dp/B000W0D0QE
if you want to see how they look on a human, google "chinese laundry boots serena van der woodsen" -- s wore them a few eps back and i'm totally a fan, except i'm 5'1 so i can't even wear them in my dreams.

rich. i'm thin by genes so maybe i don't understand what the big deal is about maintaining your weight. but i do know that money buys lipo.

pretty. being in a relationship doesn't guarantee it's a happy or monogamous one. but being naturally pretty is a gift from heaven!

if that's her strategy, it's a great one. between the commercial and her face print on the clothes, she's put herself in more teenagers' closets than any mention in teen vogue can give her. although i have to mention: the blonde wigs aren't in the target print ads, which are probably more ubiquitous and noticeable than the lookbook photos.

wear whatever color you want, but please don't choose a strapless. if i see one more strapless dress at a wedding, whether it be the bride's or the bridesmaids', i will vomit.

i'd be upset too. that's like if someone took a copy of your signature and put it on something tacky for the public to buy. it's your name, and it's the way that you write your name!

that shirt is really hideous. it looks like someone ate something from pearl paint, a newstand and shopbop, and then vomited on a t-shirt.

i saw a hipster dude trying on the purple floral ones at opening ceremony last week. i was half-pleasantly surprised that he was being adventurous, half-grossed out and questioning his sexuality. and 100% ashamed of myself for not being more open about it.
