Entry: Would You Wear No Makeup?

i've only worn makeup to weddings. its lovely on other people, but it looks dreadful on me. as for my skin, its seems to have made all the difference. mostly, my skin is virtually flawless. i'm talking, maybe two pimples a year. now, i dunno if its genetics or lack of make-up or whatever, but hey...might be worth a try to see what happens?

For myself. Even if I have no intention of leaving the house, I dress as if I am. Looking good autmatically makes me feel good.

I'm really excited about this season. It seems like its been forever. My only beef with the show, or maybe the judges is that in most cases they tend to go for whatever is the 'prettiest'. I hope they give the more interesting (and probably less marketable) garments a bigger shot this time. I'd hate to lose another Allison.

When I read the post I was just excited that I could get my coat. I'm not a smaller size and I didn't find it offensive...a little braggish, but its really not that hardcore of crime.

I have never understood the whole crazy side of PETA. Spray-painting a fur coat makes you look like a crazed idiot as opposed to a passionate activist. I have a hard time believing that spray painting garments change ones mind about wearing fur. I personally don't use fur in my designs (just not my thing), so I don't personally run the rist of having months of work ruined; but I'm sure there are other methods that don't follow the lines of vandalism that can actually educate people about animal cruelty, as opposed to making it a media event.

I' 24 and I'm still a make-up virgin, so every photo displays it. I might just still be in that truth and honesty stage of life that Risha mentioned. I suppose its just a matter of what each person finds beautiful. I think make-up looks great on other people...on me, not so much.

I love Catherine's pictures though. She is obviously genetically superior.

I love the photos and her blank, but not really blank expression is rather nice. I don't dislike her body, but it looks like a dress form. I'm not sure if thats good or bad.

As for her body ideals it really depends. I have reverence for so many body types, but if I had to trade bodies with someone, it wouldn't be the average model because so many of them have no hips. A suppose a body type similar to Kim Kardashian's(even though she offends my sensibilities) would be ideal. Runway wise, it would have to vary. I always tell myself that when I have a show I'll use more than one body type...that could all go out the window once it actually occurs, though.

Entry: Would You Wear A Political Statement?

For me its always a matter of 'can you defend your position?' as opposed to 'will you defend your position?'.

I don't think you have to defend anything. For me its more internal. If I wear a political statement, and I know what it means to me and understand what its about, then thats enough. I discovered that most people don't want you to defend your beliefs to prove you know what your talking about, but just because they don't agree with you and they want to be argumentative. Why waste your time on people who aren't really relevant to your life?

I own several pair and they always look great. I really don't consider ankle boots a trend. I mean, just because the rest of the world only recently caught on doesn't mean I have to stop liking them....right?

I would not. I mean, I quit ballet 14 years ago... no need to revisit. Also, I would love to see someone wear a leotard (not under something) and look good. I'm convinced its impossible to do it without looking slightly silly.

I'd actually start investing in make-up if I knew of the right red. I have yet to see a dark-skinned (not olive dark, dark brown)woman genuinely look good in red lipstick. I pretty much just put red lipstick on my list of things not to do...like leotards. ;)

With Britney, maybe its the coat...I dunno. She cheapens the look of things.

I always buy Nylon regardless to who is on the cover and I get Lula too. I'll buy a magazine if I see and actual model on the cover (dare to dream) or Ms. Sevigny or either of the Olsens. Other than that, the abundance of actresses on magazine covers just annoys me so I don't buy most magazines anymore. I just read my friend's copies.

P.S. Jade isn't Asian.

My bag is pretty huge. I don't always need all the stuff I carry, but I'd rather have it just in case. When you leave your house super early and have work and a 6 hour class and any kind of social activity...you need to carry your life in your purse.
