Wide-Leg Jeans with Heels?

wide leg jeans.jpgHello Fashionista,

I know there have beens posts about wide leg jeans in the past, but I have a specific question.

I recently purchased a pair of Goldsign wide leg orchid jeans. I plan on wearing them with a pair of platforms, but the bottoms of the jeans just skim the ground, covering the shoe completely. They are so wide you can barely see my feet.

Does this look silly? I feel if they were any shorter they would look too short! any thoughts on the proper length of a wide leg jean with heels? Thanks!

this subject gets people so riled up! i work in a consignment store and we get so many awesome shoes, manolos, chanel ballets, ysl platforms...yet there will always be folks that get creeped out, and then there will always be people like me who love a perfectly worn in lanvin flat, they become your own the more you wear them. the best thing is you don't get blisters, but be my guest if you want to spend $495 instead of $99 (who knows who tried them on at barneys before you!)

the consignment shop where i work in boston is doing fine, but we need people to come into the city. newbury street is not as busy as it used to be, and now it's mostly all chain stores (except for us!)

after picking up my first row tshirt last year, i am completely sold. i have added both a black and gray v neck tank (all found at the closet luckily, as i try not to pay retail) the fit is really divine, longish cut that totally disguises the love handles. it is hard not to get hooked!

it is a great feeling to have a well edited wardrobe, knowing you wear and love everything in it. if you don't, consignment is always an option, then you can put the proceeds toward new purchases!

I thought most of the dresses were over the top and awesome...only ones I didn't like were Madonna and Leighton.

noooo I would not wear those. I think torn jeans are cool, like the ones from Current/Elliot, but they rip so easily. I think the torn tight trend is pretty bad too...

Leggings are totally back for the fall tho...you just have to wear them in a more interesting way, instead of just paired with flats and a tunic.

Also if you have any LV Epi leather or monogram canvas that gets scratched just use some rubbing alcohol and the white marks come right off! (Haven't tried it on the Vernis...

Just received The Row's leather leggings (and a gray tee) at the consignment store where I work, they are to die for, but $1700 (retail price) for these is a little ridiculous, don't you think? Luckily they are only 3 figures at The Closet ;)
