I live in Chicago and, in prep for the bitter cold fall/winter, am starting to look for a good pair of boots. Yes, shopping for boots is my difficulty as I have had bad luck in the past.
Last year I got too many elf boot comments so I was looking for any advice/help you all have to offer for this upcoming season! I’m just looking for a pair to wear with jeans, black pants, dresses, etc. Nothing Ugg-like and preferably under $100, or at least not crazy expensive.
So if anyone is bored at work and would like to hunt for me or you just happen to know exactly what I’m looking for, I thank you in advance!
I know you’ve dished suggestions for the best of Paris shopping, but this summer I’m headed pretty much everywhere in France but the capital.
I’ll be spending most of my time in the Loire Valley, Provence and Cote D’Azur - which will be amazing - but I definitely want to get some shopping done while I’m there. Anyone have any favorite shops I should check out?
Or any ideas on how to find the best places once I’m there? I’m open to everything from designer to vintage but don’t want to totally break the bank.
In the spring, I have a induction ceremony and I am wearing a Lilly Pulitzer sleevless dress, with a fitted bodice, and tulip skirt. It’s a pink and green (duh, it’s Lilly) floral print.
I’m wearing it with a white circa 1983 Liz Claiborne belt.
ahhhh this reminds me of a horrible version of the fashionista diaries, which i miss terribly!
yea i love how samantha has no fashion experience but becomes an intern at marie claire....smart.
I just realized this was an hour long, my eyes are burning...
and the chick with blonde hair...i kinda hated her dress she wore to the r&r show.
...but i'll still probably watch this as a guilty pleasure much like i do for "the city"
why the eff do they all live in the same apartment? LAME
drammmmmmmmmaz!
and, how the eff does toleda (sp?)
not know how to SPELL?! WTF
in the words of olivia palermo
"you're not in high school any more, what are you 23?"
and samantha needs to get rid of that fluffy thing on her head, get a damn haircut!
j.crew?
...that's all i got!
but they do have some cute, cheaper, dresses for spring/summer (it's better to look in stores than online...) that i love!
oh, and old navy every once in a while..such as this spring..has some cute summer dresses that are obviously cheap. i would check out there store since the online site tends to differ from the store
or target has some good dresses, i'm not sure/doubt though that the alexander mcq line has any "summer" dresses but it's worth a shot
good luck!
any sundress would do. i have been to many christenings before and usually end up wearing a j.crew/lilly pulitzer "easter dress," for lack of a better description.
just an example of the pricer side..
loling/agreeing with #30
hell girl, go for the birks! beauty might be pain but these are cute and pain-free. I've seen similar styles by other brands but probably not as comfy as the birks.
just please stay away from their Jesus sandals and clogs!
wow. literally have been wanting to send the fashionista staff the awkward photo and hipster sites. i feel hip knowing we surf the same blogs....while at the same time feel lame for saying that
thanks for the post, abby! :)
That rumor we spread about Mark Fast doing a line for Topshop? It's true. And it's in last week's Sunday Telegraph magazine which means it was true before we even said anything and we've had it in our lap since... Read More
Meet Blue Logan, if you haven't already. A couple of years ago a friend dragged the soft-spoken Brit to a show at London Fashion Week, Aquascutum he thinks, and he started to draw the models as they walked down the... Read More
