Entry: How Much Will You Spend on a T-shirt?

However great the shape, a white t-shirt ain't gonna stay white forever. I love The Row ones and the Wang ones but I don't have that kind of money. But if I did I wouldn't have a problem spending it on the perfect tee. Just not in white. The Hanes ones as someone else said have too-high Vs and they shrink too.

Ugh I loathe ironing! AND steaming. Aren't steamers horribly expensive? I only use them on shoots and always burn myself. I'd like some of that wrinkle spray though, anyone know if you can get it in London?

Oh I always wanted one of those Sprouse LVs. I kind of thought I could get a cast-off on Ebay after all the fuss had died down but it never happened.

Jorts?! Never heard that one before. Hilarious. Is Phoebe Philo still doing stuff for them? Was she ever? It IS so Chloe-esque and I keep hearing rumours...

Well...in the Uk this is just how it is. In my last job the work experience peeps didn't even get their travel expenses paid. But at least we (I) would try to get them to do things other than 'the cupboard'. But only if they proved themselves. If you can't get the photocopying right (and you'd be surprised how many people can't) then how am I going to trust you to do more responsible stuff? A lot of people think working on a magazine is all trying on shoes and going to launches. It's not. Even for a fashion editor there's a lot of mundane stuff like picture research and emailing. I'm not saying it's good to work for free just that you've got to really want to do the job badly and I guess working long hours proves that (although those W hours are outta control).

Ah thanks for that. The last time I looked for boys blazers on that site they were for like, 8 year olds. Loving those penny loafers too. (Loafers are making a comeback, mark my words!)

The picture's a bit small but it does look like Virginia Bates. I believe she has a blog on (www.vogue.co.uk). La Rhodes has pink hair and usually wear whacko colours not monochrome.

Mulberry's ss08 collection was lovely too. Youthful and slouchy, just how I like it!

What a great article and a nice normal-sounding girl. I can never believe that people act so badly at castings. I would NEVER do that. I would rather spend two hours in a casting making polite chit-chat with girls who are never gonna be in my magazine in a million years that tell them they're too short/thin/old/whatever. Where are these people's respect for these poor girls?

Oh dear, mine is mutton-chic. I am continually drawn to Hello Kitty accessories, smiley-face prints and kitschy cutesy stuff that is so not age-appropriate. I know I shouldn't care and I don't really but sometimes I have to stop myself from buying ANOTHER heart-shaped pendant when I'm well into my thirties...

I dunno, you need a lot of attitude to work leather pants, you need to wear them and not let them wear you. VERY few people can pull this off, even someone like Sienna Miller would look too self conscious. I reckon only a proper rock chick (Alison Mosshart?) should attempt it. And they'd have to be properly skin-tight, nothing less...
