Thats what I thought of #2...
And I bought my Toms, but hardly ever wear them. They remind me of hospital shoes (don't ask me why).
Luckily Urban Outfitters caught on with the "trend", so I always see little scenesters in my small hometown in Toms. Wonder if they know they are helping such a good cause? Regardless, it makes me smile (in a good way!)

I think MKA look perfectly healthy for their build.
But enough about weight (so boring). Georgina Chapman is stunning, my GOD.

She probably just grabbed whatever was around. Kiera seems like the type to utilize shopping bags and other stuff. Love her!

My friends and I usually do a small gift exchange or bake each other yummy things.
My family (like me, sister, dad, mom) on the other hand is notorious for spending lots of money on a ridiculous amount of gifts for each other. I think this year I'm going to ask for one single big ticket item. Make it easier, and cheaper.
Distant relative usually exchange gift certificates or money for college. Yay!

In my opinion, there are two readers of popular (like Elle or Vogue) fashion magazines:
Reader #1: is the regular woman, who probably likes to shop; but could care less about Rodarte, has an interest in "actresses" like Jennifer Aniston, and enjoys budget, realistic shopping features
Reader #2: is us, avid readers of fashion blogs who drool over studded skyscraper heels we could (probably) never afford, and would rather see supermodels on the covers of our publications
Miss Wintour is trying to get Reader #1 (who is admittedly a bigger reader base) but is in the process losing #2. There is no balance.
So while #1 is increasingly giving up magazines...
(my mom is a #1 for example, and said she hasn't bought a magazine for months)
...#2 will always covet her Paris Vogues and iDs in print.
I'm not sure if I'm making sense, but anyway...
Vogue should get back on track as THE fashion bible, basically.
Or maybe a smart idea would be less publications, like 1 for every 2 months and more web content...
I know the only issues I buy are "the fall one" and summer ones (for beach reading).
Sorry, just another random idea...blah blah blah.
AND AS WITH EVERYONE: I hate the cover, everything it stands for and so on and so forth.

I like all the hair to one side, as seen on the runways of Proenza.
But the shave?
Leave it to Alice.

Ok, so yes saying Leila "Moss" is the new Kate "Moss" makes for a cute title...
but really here?
Even her hair looks like Moss' cut a year (?) ago.
I mean, I know its just a fun comparison but Leila: inspired a collection for a starlet's clothing line, while Kate: inspired countless designer collections, a whole fashion movement (boho), being pin thin...the list goes on and on.
Plus I'm sure Leila is a kick ass rockstar but from pictures I've been able to find? Not so special stylewise (feel free to prove me wrong).

guest #1: How can liquid leggings be "fake"?
guest #14: love you
guest #41: my guilty pleasure favorite style
Yay, stereotypes! Just a few from California:
1. high-waisted skirt = OC sorority girl wannabe-Lauren- Conrad
{see http://laurenconrad.seenon.com/detail.php?p=60667&v=slc-collection-categories_skirts}
2. Tory Burch flats = Beverly Hills Middle Eastern princess
3. Ed Hardy = tacky "Hollywood"
4. too skinny girl in oversized cardigan + skinnies or leggings (usually paired with a Chanel bag) = rich daddy's girl
5. loose white tee or trying to emulate blogs like the "fashiontoast" girl = thinking you are the hottest most fashionable girl ever

Love that she chose an American based designer. Love the teal heels with the yellow dress. Love the diamond (?) necklace instead of pearls...but I really, really...
LOVE the Obamas.

I'm fairly pale, and although I hate to admit it, a tan does make me look better. It contours the face (cheekbones, slims the nose), makes my body look more toned and just gives me a healthy overall glow.
However, I'm talking about a real tan. In the summer I spend days at the beach...I wear SPF but I still manage to get color. It may not be the healthiest thing for my skin, but the sunshine makes me happy, and the tan makes me hot.
Oh well. You only live once. I say, embrace what you love and what makes you feel best.
