So sad that I only seem to get the movie related trivia questions hahah But the answer is, she only agreed to do the film if she DIDN'T have to play a model.

I agree with PJH, the original is very Rainbow Brite (in a GOOD way!) but looks mighty painful, like I'd have to wear a protective layer of band-aids underneath it for protection!! It's still purdy though, and what girl doesn't love purdy albeit slightly painful things??!!

For Guest (posted @ 5:38pm) not to worry... that horrid dalmation frock is actually from the movie "Confessions of a Shopaholic" staring Isla Fisher.... although I could see Carrie Bradshaw prancing around in something like that in the earliest seasons of "Sex"

Curvy, where I'm from, refers to a woman who has curves (what a silly concept!)-- hips, a butt, breasts (not necessarily DD's or anything, but a little something-something), thights that might actually touch **YIKES!!**..... Curvy by Hollywood standards means a woman who eats a steak once a year and thinks a potato is the Devil's food. They've sucked the curve right outta Eva....

I wonder if that means the fashion world will also embrace her oh, so sexy impetigo skin disease as well. Nothing like models walking around with patches of their face peeling, crusting, and falling off!! Yumm!

Every time I see a picture of Lauren Conrad it boggles my mind as to WHY people are obessed with her. I hate her fashion sense; I have never seen her wear anything that didn't look like a bedsheet tied sloppy and draped awkwardly around her body, and despite being a rep for a makeup line (Mark) I always want to add a little blush, a little gloss, eyeshadow... a little SOMETHING special to that girl.... Hearing Lauren Conrad and fashion in the same sentence always makes me giggle-- and not necessarily in a GOOD way....

Firstly, I second (or third) Poseur's comment regarding guest 1:21's comment regarding Syako's comment... PHEW! Now that we've gotten past all THAT, I also want to second chic3's comment-- Wet Seal CANNOT still exist. I refuse to believe it. Maybe it's only in the midwest or something, but I can't recall the last time I saw a Wet Seal store here in New York. Or maybe I just blocked it out like a bad memory. Could go either way....

Okay... I had to research this whole Wet Seal thing, as if it was some sort of scientific phenomena (yes, I have too much time on my hands right now, welcome to my spring break- it's like Girls Gone Wild, 28 year Old Style).... so yeah, apparently Wet Seal DOES exisit. I'm on their website and I'm totally amazed... It's like I just discovered a chupacobra in my backyard... I need to contact the Discovery Channel ASAP... or just go get a snack...

Hahaha, I am giggling in response to guest 3:26's comment to me-- By noooo means was I implying that Detroit and Chicago are "unfashionable". I think I was going for a more Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska farmer-esq kind of fashion perspective, but hey, you're right, who am I to judge??!! I grew up in CT, which, by some people's standards, is just as "unfashionable" as anything that could be found in the midwest!
But at the same time, YOU made it seem like everyone in the midwest dreseses like an extra from from A Very Brady Sequel--- Bellbottoms? Babydoll tees?? I've seen the midwest, and in their defense, they've made it past 1972 :-) But I loved your comment 3:26am, I like when people make me think outside my little New York transplant box!!

I can't speak on the Revlon aspect, but as far as Bluefly is concerned, didn't they JUST launch a new site, b*fly, that's supposed to be for more casual and contemporary items?? I can't imagine that they would put the effort into launching a new site if they were going bankrupt, but then again, I'm no financial analyst, maybe that's EXACTLY what they would do......

I say GET THE ROMPER, no matter WHO else likes it! As long as you love it, then it's meant to be (that's actually my theory on a lot of things in life)...
...as for the polka dots, I watched "Because I Said So" last night (not a wonderful film, but I'm a sucker for Mandy Moore) and there was a whole thing about polka dots and men enjoying them. I happen to like them as well (men, and polka dots, just not men IN polka dots....) I bought a navy sundress with white polka dots last year and wore it with a yellow cropped cardigan... guess my conservative Connecticut roots reared their ugly head!!

Maybe boiled eggs are the secert to Madonna's arms of steel... maybe if I had just a boiled egg for lunch instead of, say, an actual salad WITH a boiled egg, I'd have man-arms too!! Who am I kidding, I'm happy with my brown hair and flabby arms, thank you every much :)

Lord KNOWS I adore this site (I'm in class as we speak, and I'm still making time to check out what you ladies have been up to today)....
That being said, I have to agree that the Forever 21 rip-off acknowledgements are starting to a little old. It's like beating a dead horse already, we know, we know, Forever 21 rips off EVERYONE and their mother, but there are definately OTHER chains that do the same thing. I love seeing the comparisions, but do a little more digging (which isn't that hard, trust me) and you'll come up with a ton of other retailers that rip off big name designs on a regular basis...
Now, back to paying attention to my professor (blah blah blah)....

I think the Bitten concept is great (affordable clothing is always a wonderful idea!) but the line falls very short in its execution. Some of the pieces are cute enough, but when you get close up, they are cut oddly or the patterns are odd... I've bought one or two pieces, but it's a line I adore.

Thank GOD someone finally had the balls to write the truth about her. I never understood the hooplah, and I'm glad that there's someone who's not afraid to voice their confusion as to what the big deal is about Agyness. She's definately media manufactured-- she's pretty, but nothing to get your panties in a fuss over!!

I've seen some of the What Not to Wear update shows, and despite a few "relapses", it appears that the fashion victims have stuck with the rules bestowed upon them. I like watching the show because it amazes me that people are STILL throwing themselves in ill-fitting jogging suits and schoolgirl pleated skirts owned by their teenaged daughters, and think it's perfectly normal. Who doesn't like a good makeover??!!
