Yesterday I worked with one of the Gap Boys designers wrapping gifts at Fred Flare - she was so sweet. I wonder if she designed those...

I think in the right color it's gorg, but if you put a print on the swim suit it's horrible.
Delia's has a bunch, but again, you have to be careful otherwise you may look too young:

As much as I'm over Hervé Chapelier bags they are still the most practical thing to carry for school (for those that are older, the day that you start middle school - usually 6th grade - a backpack becomes a thing of the past, at least on Long Island...). I tried to switch away from it and nothing holds up as well or fits as much stuff. That being said, my back kills from it all the time. Back in middle school I got a stiff neck and had to take vicodin from the weight of everything in it, that was 6 years ago. Just the other morning I accidently left my bag on the passenger seat of my car and it made the seat belt signal go off. There is an occasional textbook but I don't even bring home binders! I take everything I need for homework out of my binders in school and take home worksheets and what not in an everything folder - so what is making my bag so heavy? My phone, ipod, wallet, camera, planner, pencils/pens, moisturizer, tide-to-go, bandaids, random art supplies, magazines, photo paper, negatives, an outside reading book, and food - lots and lots of uneaten food that i've taken for snacks and then just don't want during the day, as well as (empty) water bottles. Do I need all of this? NO. But what am I supposed to do when bored in class - I'm a senior, I already got into college early decision. And the sad thing is, I get away with using all these distractions during the school day, even in my AP classes.
When I go out on a normal occasion I almost always have to use a tote - where else am I going to fit a polaroid or my 35mm camera. I can't imagine not using a tote, how could you prepared for what you may face during the day without everything in it!
Can we bring back whats in my bag?

I've always wanted glasses, since Freshmen year I've been randomly stealing my mothers cute pair of magnifying reading glasses. I think the obsession started with I Love the 90's & Lisa Loeb, and also alot of the girls that were older and in the local music scene that I was just getting into wore them - they were so scene back then and I just wanted to be accepted by that group so badly - thank goodness I've outgrown that phase, it was full of baby cute plastic hair clips, any band tshirts I could get my hands on, bright mismatched colors, and pins from bands - oh it was horrible! Back to glasses though, a cute pair recently popped up on the Urban Outfitter's website and I had to have them. I love them to death, my friends from the college art program I took this summer in the city think they're cute, but, my friends here at home in suburbia HATE them. They make fun of me endlessly saying "You don't need glasses why are you wearing those! TAKE THEM OFF. Don't wish it upon yourself. You look like a dork. I hate my glasses that's why I wear contacts." They can't seem to find the fashion statement in them. Opinions please? http://photos-d.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sctm/v158/118/39/504452465/n504452465_482363_1150.jpg

HAHA oh dear, we're just addressing all my big fashion issues today aren't we. The stereotype is soooo true. Black & pink checkered vans are the product of my 2005 myspace scene (emo/hxc/ska) phase of freshmen year. I never wear them anymore, except when I'm extremely lazy usually sick and running out to the drug store to pick up medicine. Each time I put them on my mother just groans, they are the bane of her existence. Last year when cute girlie b&w checkered ballet slipper type Vans came out and for some reason I had to have them, I don't think I've worn since the week I bought them.

Teen Vogue sent me a pair of Levi's High Rise Wide Leg jeans, they're a new style that Levi's is making and I have no idea what to wear with them! At the moment, I've gotten as far as figuring out that need heels of some sort and a tucked in shirt. I can't determine how to make them school-day appropriate.

When I was in elementary school circa 96-98, I had this awesome Barbie game that allowed for you to design you're own patterns and colors - to a point - with special fabric printer paper that you would print on then fold, and use special adhesive on to dress your Barbies. Oh how I loved that game!
I just googled it out of curiosity:

As I'm sure you know Teen Vogue invites Teen Vogue It Girls in to do focus groups from time to time. Well, back in October during their Fashion University I went to one during which Levi's reps sat in on the meeting. There was a lot of talk amongst us about lastnightsparty, Cobrasnake, Cory Kennedy, and American Apparel - so I'm sure they took that as cue for their new direction. At the end we were told to construct the Levi's girl bedroom as well as that of a more hot jean brand such as 7 or Diesel using old magazine cut-outs - the contrast between the two was ridiculous we gave the Levi's rooms a cowgirl feel hahaha. The gift for participating was a free pair of Levi's jeans - their pick, "Hi Rise Wide Leg" and the jeans actually fit and are extremely cute.

This may just be the biggest rant ever, I apologize.
FYI, part of the line has been up on the Nordstrom's website for the past few weeks - http://shop.nordstrom.com/C/6014808/0~2376780~6009391~6014807~6014808 - personally, I wouldn't buy a single item there. Not even for just hanging around in. I don't want to see Hemmy on another shirt or item of clothing - he's a dog for god sakes, I prefer to see him being walked by employees of Crush Management at shows then anything else. And ALSO, that dog was bought with his ex-gf... idk that sorta bugs me for whatever reason.
Unfortunately FOB fans are die hards - and it has ALWAYS been that way, since 2003/4 - with the bands success on TRL in 05 things just got 10x worse with teenie boppers. When Clan first launched it was just illustrations from Wentz's book The Boy With the Thorn In His Side (Smith's reference anyone?) - it was god awful hideous and totally for the Hot Topic set (the illustrations were technically gorgeous - but their content not so much) as well as a DVD. I do not recommend seeing said DVD, and if Nordstrom's execs saw it (or Wentz's nude photos) I'm not so sure they would endorse Wentz's clothing line, then again an investment like this may help to revive their BP Department (which in my opinion has been lacking greatly recently, stock seems to be the same every month and most of the items can be bought in Delia's ie: Scrapbook & Junkfood, nothing unique! At least this is somewhat, but barely different, and appeals to that same tween set.)
Honestly though, us kids who have been fans since the start just laugh at Wentz and his absolute ridiculousness. And we laugh at the fangirls even though in all honestly we're just as bad as them. It's just such a bad scene now. I can't even put it into words anymore.
"and some previously unheard songs by Wentz will be available just before the line debuts" - Songs? Really? Because, last I knew, Wentz only knows how to write lyrics - he can't play the bass for shit or write actual music (go listen to FOB's first album Evening Out With Your Girlfriend - Patrick Stumph wrote the lyrics & Wentz wrote the music, though somewhat catchy it's not nearly as good Take This To Your Grave at which point the two switched roles.)
