Why the hell is SJP on the committee?

The juxtaposition of Hollywood Starlet-styling and graffiti isn't terribly creative. That said, I'll take it over American Vogue editorials any day, and the shot with the Michael Jackson mural is awesome.

I borrowed my roommate's red pair one day last winter (I live in upstate New York). They were really warm and good for a laugh but I would definitely not work them into my daily wardrobe.

I quite like this editorial, but the model is far too thin.

I think it's a bit strange that you used a Chanel no.5 advertisement for the photo. Just because a celebrity is in the advertisement doesn't put it on the same level as celebrity "made" fragrances like SJP's.

This seems like a giant waste of time and Scott Schuman is an idiot. I wish Garance would drop him.

Good point about M.C Escher and Venetian tiles; I think it illustrates perfectly the fine line between inspiration and rip-offs. It's interesting to take a print inspired by an artist and put it on a shoe; it's shitty to take someone else's design and copy it exactly for your own profit.

Oh for Pete's sake with the jumping. With the exception of the last two images (who's success may be chalked up to McQueen himself) this editorial is really boring and uninspired.

I cannot believe that photo. I saw some pretty terrible photos of her from that night, but this one legitimately scares me.

Haha what good fun. It's your classic sort-of-logical utilitarian-shovel-wielding-narrative-turns-to-bizzare-love-affair-with-mannequin story.

Jac, I think she looks really thin in some of the shots in which she is supposed to look alien-esque. I think she looks really fit but not emaciated.
I also think that Lady Gaga is something of a modern day Sex Pistols, in that her entire image is much more important than her music, which, like the Sex Pistols, isn't very good, and serves as more of a social commentary than anything else. Take her self-important "I'm changing the world" attitude. It's not unlike lots of other celebrities (Angelina Jolie, anyone?), but I think it's meant to be a critique of people like Angelina rather than serious statement.

I'm a big Jennifer Connelly fan but I think she looks stiff and weird here; like an actress trying to be a model...imagine that.

Nicole Richie may be famous for no reason but at least she has some style. Look at what Ashlee Simpson is wearing in the above photo for Pete's sake (pun intended). They both look like they just stepped out of Pac Sun or something.

Good God, the girl is way too thin. That isn't naturally thin, that is emaciated and sickly looking, and if people like no. 9 keep saying she looks great the way she's never going to get better.

No. 7 it's been pointed out before that this season was filmed while it belonged to Bravo. So while I totally agree that this season is awful, it unfortunately can't be blamed on Lifetime.

I absolutely hate the phrase that no. 4 used. Some creepy person said it to me the other day and now I'll never be able to wear my beautiful Proenza Schouler shoes without thinking about it. (Before anyone calls me elitist or spoiled, I got them used on ebay for $46) Shoes do not invite sexual harassment, nor does wearing them excuse it. Jane should be able to wear whatever shoes she wants (and she certainly does).
