I got a pair when I was in Rome a little while ago, and I love them. I have short legs so I usually wear them with heels. I've only ever gotten compliments.

I only wear black, gray, white, with a little brown, and a little pale pink. Solids, too - I don't really love patterns. I love color in nature, in art, and on other people, but for me wearing such plain colors is peaceful, and simple. Nearly everything goes with everything. I will not banish color forever, though. Using the words "never", or "forever", usually results in eating those words.

I have a faux-fur muff and I love it! I use it every winter. It has a cord, so when I'm inside I wear it like a messenger/cross body bag. It's a relic from my childhood (I too, had Samantha), so it's small, and not bulky at all.

Check out MAC's fluidlines, too (especially if you want to expand your palette beyond Bobbi Brown's neutrals). I use Blitz & Glitz on a fairly regular basis. And the MAC 266 brush is AMAZING.

I have a Ben Sherman mini-backpack that I absolutely adore. However, I usually only wear it while I'm cycling around town, or when my classroom goes on a field trip (I work with special ed). I think it's really all about context.
